Intelligence plays a big part in the religion, it's like their first commandment. Thou shall not be dumb.

For the new ones here Gnostics and Agnostics are two different religions, both interesting.

If not, why not? Doesn't your Bible require you to spread the Word?

If so, what techniques do you use? How successful have you been? And would you be offended by non-Christians converting Christians to their faiths?

Just curious.

Who is to blame for the dismal shape our "graduates" are in? Education has been heading for the lowest common denominator since the mid 60's, and so far, it has not reached the gutter, but year by year, we keep approaching it...who is to blame? Parents who think their only responsibility is dumping their kids off at school? Teachers who are expected to be baby sitters? Kids who have been taught that they are accountable for NOTHING they do? School systems that fail NO ONE / Pass all who enter and attend unarmed? Who will accept the blame and turn this ugly situation around? Can it be turned around? I have my own thoughts, how about yours....

Yesterday I went in for a job interview, I did really well, however they started to tell me all of this information that did not sound like the job I had applied for. If I get the job, I don't know how to properly turn it down. What do I say?

If an individual constantly prays, reads the Bible, and tries to live Christian, and is truly sincere about having a close relationship with God, but blurts out a profanity when angered by someone who is aggressive towards them, before they can catch themselves, does this mean that person's heart is not truly changed, because they can only remain gentle and christlike when not pressured or challenged by others?

What if this happens more than once, and the person ends up quickly grabbing their mouth and saying "forgive me Lord", because the curse word rolled off of their tongue so easily. Is this a sign the person is not saved? What are your thoughts?

Every night, i get up at the middle of the night, like 3-5am EVERY NIGHT. to get something to eat, I eat pizza rolls, hot pockets, and chicken wings, bought with the money i stole from my parents.(I needed food, I have nothing to eat at night) Whether Hungry or not, I HAVE to eat in order to go back to sleep. When my mother catches me eating chicken wings, she throws them away(thats her money she threw away), and sends me to my room, i was so hungry, nobody understands that i have to eat in order to go back to sleep.

I am a born-again Christian with a bad past and hard habits to break but I love God and want to please Him with everything I do. But I also don't want to get baptised and still feel like a complete sinner afterwards. To me, this symbolizes the end of an old life for me and I feel like I've already screwed it up.

Jesus is the only reason people can go to heaven. All other religions are about what you can do to earn your way into heaven. Can we really earn our way into heaven?

Is it aligned with what Jesus instructed in the bible?

Would He say the RCC used LOVE and other fruits of the Holy Spirit to reach out to lost souls in need of salvation, today in the media, with the language that was quoted?

What do you think the RCC accomplished today?

I'm sure I remember reading somewhere about a law of online conversation / forum posting which stated something like the longer threads got, the more likely a Hitler comparison was, and in the case of a Hitler comparison arising the person making it has always lost, automatically. Does anybody know if that is the case, and if there are any analogies in R&S? (e.g. it always ends up with Pascals wager or evolution...)? Is that what "drinking questions" are?

Question #6 Ref The Bible Answer Book

taking the shield of faith with which you will be able to quench all the fiery darts of the wicked one. Ephesians 6:16
This is not an uncertain promise. Rather, it is divine assurance that faith equips us to escape the very extremities of evil. But what is faith?

The bible says faith is: the substance of things hoped for, the evidence of things not seen. Hebrews 11:1

Faith is the assurance that God's promises will never fail, even if sometimes we do not experience their fulfillment in our mortal existence. Hebrews 11 is talking about the fact that we trust God to fulfill promises for the future based on what He has already fulfilled in the past. Our faith is not blind, but based squarely on God's proven faithfulness.

Do not confuse faith with knowledge. Alot of people hear the gospel message and have the knowledge that can save them. This does not always mean they will act on it with faith.

If so I apologise - as a catholic - on his behalf.
No one has a monopoly on religion.
As far as I am concerned all roads lead to the same destination, as far as religion goes.
His remarks, to my mind, were grossly offensive to non catholics.
Were you offended?
