Okay hi all, i have a question, i was watching the news the other day, not American but Indian, and they had a story about a child and reincarnation. The kid in it kept on telling his family about names, brothers, sisters, uncles, wife , stuff like that. The kid was i forget how old, maybe 4 at the most, but he told them where he lived, and it said he only used to say those things at night, like over and over again. So the news said that the parents when to that town, located the previous family of who he said he was, and they said it had to be him. The kid also said who he was in a previous life and how he died! the family confirms it's true, both the name and how the death occured.

Thoughts??

They don't call them Christian Terrorists in this article but they called them the commercial for the news, it also said that they belong to some radical group - NO JOKE! Apparently, they wanted to blow up a church. This story doesn't say much but they will probably update it after the actual news broadcast.

made you more compassionate and understanding, erased your fears, gave you tranquility and by doing so made you a better human being. If this knowledge was totally inclusive and without judgment. If you knew this was the one way the world could unite in peace and harmony.

If this knowledge opened your eyes to the wrong views of life that you had adopted and the cyclical patterns of ignorance and suffering that control your current life.

Would you fallow it? even if it meant you would have to change your views on life and the things you believed in?

It's not a religious question, but I'm going to ask it anyways, since we are all one big happy family, I figured I would want nobody elses opinion but you guys.

Anyways, I don't know why I thought of this, probably because I'm watching a crime show, but, on average, how many murder vitims and/or murder evidence do you think are buried in the average American Landfill?

Genesis 21:1-6
Now the LORD was gracious to Sarah as he had said, and the LORD did for Sarah what he had promised. Sarah became pregnant and bore a son to Abraham in his old age, at the very time God had promised him. Abraham gave the name Isaac [a] to the son Sarah bore him. When his son Isaac was eight days old, Abraham circumcised him, as God commanded him. Abraham was a hundred years old when his son Isaac was born to him. Sarah said, "God has brought me laughter, and everyone who hears about this will laugh with me."

Questions:

1) Is God somehow involved in conception and pregnancy? Support your position.

2) In what ways do some women have a false sense of control with family planning

3) How is pregnancy a gift from God?

I recently saw an answer by Mr. Peepers that 'suggested' that Mormon leaders regularly lie in the name of the lord. He referenced this google search: http://www.google.com/search?q=lying+for+the+lord&ie=utf-8&oe=utf-8&aq=t&rls=org.mozilla:en-US:official&client=firefox-a

I find this HIGHLY disturbing if this is a regular practice. Why would the Mormon prophets need to lie? If they are the true prophet, aren't they working with the only true church? Why would they need to lie about that? What possible reason could be made to rationalize the need to lie in "the only true church?"

Is this real? Even though I am an exmormon, I cannot believe that this is something that really happens. When I was a Mormon, I would have never beleived this. Not for a second.

What do you think?

the myth oth vampires started back along time ago. you know why? people were ignorant. a disorder where the victim canot come out during the day because they have a severe allergic reaction to the suns u.v light. much like albinoism except the skin just deteriorates. there were rumours of people that drank blood and ate the livers of childred. most likely a story to keep kids near by at night time. even if it was true these people were just insane. this is why i have to laugh outloud when some idiot wearing a cradle of filth T shirt say's they are a vampire. because why? they drink blood? sleep upside down? dont like garlic? i can swim underwater. does that mean i'm a fish? let me know your thoughts.

I'm going to be taking a Literature of the Bible class, and I need a copy of the Bible. I picked up a copy of the New International Version at a used bookstore one day, & thought that would be good enough. Does anyone know what the differences are between that version & say, the King James version? Which would you recommend for my class (as they did not specify a particular one)?

But God demonstrates His own love toward us, in that while we were still sinners, Christ died for us. (Romans 5:8)

This verse looks like God does not see anything in us. It looks like God wants us to have His amazing love. God saves us for His own Glory through His Love.
We can not earn this gift of God.
But when the kindness and the love of God our Savior toward man appeared, not by works of righteousness which we have done, but according to His mercy He saved us, through the washing of regeneration and renewing of the Holy Spirit, whom He poured out on us abundantly through Jesus Christ our Savior, that having been justified by His grace we should become heirs according to the hope of eternal life.
Once we are saved we will have good works as a evidence we are save. Our good works will not save us. They profess to know God, but in works they deny Him, being abominable, disobedient, and disqualified for every good work. (Titus 1:16)

I know of nothing that is not in dispute or has been completely disproved for the spontaneous generation of life on Earth.

Miller and Oparin's experiment of lightening in a mixture of gases to form chemical generation of life was disproved because the early Eath did not contain those gases.

The long time line theory doesn't work because if the earth is only 5 billion years old like scientists think that it is then that is not enough time to get better odds than 1 chance in 10 to the 60th power. That number is so high as to not even be feasible.

Laws of thermodynamics claim that left alone systems will develop more chaos as opposed to more order so how can leaving alone a bunch of chemicals lead to the creation of a more complex system that is a living thing.

Do not tell me to go read a science book because I have and the answers do not match up any better than how creationism says life came into existence. Point out to me where the facts support you 100% instead of using faith.
