my sister and i had the arguement is it a cuss or is it not

It used to be a very vulgar term but not now. Its one of those words that people have become more tolerant of over the years. My grandma still cringes when she hears someone say it. So much so that you would think they just said ***** or something like that. So, we just avoid using it.

Used to be you couldn't say it on TV or the radio. Now, people say it in polite conversation. It was one of George Carlin's "7 Dirty Words", a comedy classic.

I wouldn't call it a cuss word....... kind of a substitute for a cuss word maybe........not quite as bad as some words.......okay, it's not really a nice word...........

Piss is now considered a slang word. it comes from old French pisser. Hence le or la pissoir, I think.

It's not extremly bad, like the F word, but it is still socially unacceptable. If you would like to indicate that you have to urinate, you should say "Pardon me for a moment, I need to use the restroom."

Some people consider it to be one, and some don't. If God convicts you for using it, then it's a cussword. It's not a nice word, I'd say.

I have always wondered that, they sure do block it out on television.


My mom sure used to tell me that she would knock the piss out of me..so I took it as another word for pee.

In the dictionary it said that sometimes it is considered vulgar.

it can mean: pee, drunk, someone may say they got pissed last night (mainly in Europe), angry, disappointed, disgusted
