Yes, it doesn't matter whether you are religious or not...we are all brothers and sisters in humanity.

Here is the reason we think, my partner and I, many christians are against atheists calling each other brothers and sisters, because for them it is more about feeling superior, their religion is better then other religions so that makes them better then others.
I have found growing up in a Christian family that often time you are discouraged to question the church, the bible or your pastor so there is little exploration of your own beliefs let alone the beliefs of others. So many time those who do not leave Christianity have a very narrow point of view of what faith really is and apply this limited point of view to the world around them. When their point of view does not fit they deny or ridicule it and if that does not work then they just plain lie, to themselves and others.
We are all related and it has nothing to do with Adam and Eve. Our chemical makeup makes use all almost identical but the differences that are there gentically can not be answered by all of man kind coming from two people. Oh and by the way if we are all decendants of Adam and Eve then we are all products of incest. Gross!!!
But the use of Brother and Sister is a way to show that you have something in common or relates with others and is not a term limited for only Christians to use.
Not being a Christian makes two people brother and/or sister. Who cares what people think, if you want to use the terms brother/sister to relate to other who are atheists, more power to you.
Blessed Be

Call people whatever you want.
I can be your "sister" in the sense that all humanity is related, but that hardly matters. I truly wish I could be your sister in Christ, but if you're an atheist, then I'm not.
I don't see any problem with anyone calling anyone else "brother" or "sister". In fact, I much prefer it to a lot of the other names I hear thrown around all too often. Go for it.

When Christians refer to it in Christian terms, it's meant in a different way. We are brother n sister in flesh, but not in spirit.
Why? because the moment you accept Jesus Christ as your lord and saviour by praying a prayer to become 'born again' of the spirit. [Without this prayer even Christians are not saved into the kingdom.] You then become a child of God - the father. Now he is our father, and the father of other born again Christians, and that makes us brother and sister to each other. We are now of his spirit.

O.K., now this is what I have Learned after getting Saved.
1. EveryBody came from Adam and Eve.
So, we are All Bro.'s and Sis.'s in the Flesh (Human Body).
2. Not EveryBody has asked Jesus to Recreate their spirits, so we are not All Bro.'s and Sis.'s in the SpiritMan.
Some are Lost--some are Saved.
But, those Terms can be used in alot of Ways, so'ssss O.k. to call your fellow atheists that!

all of us who calls all of us dumb is in basic terms showing you their adulthood point. You made a clever fact. ACT LIKE AN grownup. There could be greater mature conversations on the two factors if we could weed out the juveniles yet it truly is impossible. Atheists are no longer the only immature ones in right here (there are various mature atheists right here via the way). It is going around the board in this website.

go ahead and call them that, but it doesn't line up with your atheism. calling someone a brother or sister implies that we came from the same Father. Christians do this because we believe that we are all from God, our Father.
