made you more compassionate and understanding, erased your fears, gave you tranquility and by doing so made you a better human being. If this knowledge was totally inclusive and without judgment. If you knew this was the one way the world could unite in peace and harmony.
If this knowledge opened your eyes to the wrong views of life that you had adopted and the cyclical patterns of ignorance and suffering that control your current life.
Would you fallow it? even if it meant you would have to change your views on life and the things you believed in?

This knowledge is not based on a book or tale, but rather on experience and understanding of youself.

John,
When i said understanding of yourself. I meant you, not me. If you truly understood what you are and why you are, then you would understand what i have said.

I agree. A lot of people base their lifes on selfish motives. They are in a continous quest to feed their egos. I believe that to know yourself you must go beyond the ego. An ego is just a fictitious character or a wrong perception that most of us have. But what lies beyond the need to feel important and better than the rest? what lies beyond our need to always be right and to belong? If you probe deeper and deeper into these questions you will learn a great deal about yourself and people in general. I think that questioning every aspect of your reasoning, beliefs, and emotions is the best way to fully understand what we truly are.;....... And yes I do believe that in the deepest sense of being we are all the same.

Your last statement ruined it. Experience and understanding yourself? I've never met a man or woman that meets the criteria you described. None. You claim to that man? I'd have to see your perfection with my own eyes first before I believe you. This world will not see peace anytime soon, even with what you believe.
Edit: I do understand who and what I am. I also know that I have some things in me that can rise up and get ugly. I know that all people have the same in them. I'm around them all day long. Reason for our views? Pure selfishness. Your statements are noble. Great goal to shoot for. But you have to admit that the world we live in, our selfishness will rule our actions. That is why I believe in God. I won't go into all the religious talk but believe me, it makes a world of difference.

I did already. My religion is Spiritism and the more I learn about it the more it makes sense to me, more compassionate and understanding I become and everything else you described. Yes, I follow it as much as I can, I changed mu views on life and things I used to believe in before.
Peace!

If I could be at peace with my decision, of course I would follow my enlightened path. I would not, however, try to convince everyone I saw to convert to my way of thinking. Having been enlightened, I would know that my wonderful path is not likely right for everyone because everyone is not me.

Sounds like Buddhism, if I were going to label it.
Title or not, it sounds great, so I'd take it. The problem is finding it.
