The Old Testament Name for God is YHWH.
Thats His Name, and what he is, is His Name: Are you ready?
I DON'T THINK WHO GOD IS; I KNOW WHO GOD IS:
God is "what you need, when you need it"
Not that any of that stuff posted elsewhere on this question is bad at all, it's great, it's just that God is all that and so much more. God is Love, he is a rescue helicopter if you're drowning, he is a warm fire if you're freezing, food when you're starving, a policeman when you really need him, etc. I could go on but I think I've made it known.
Did I mention He's my Savior? Friend? Confidant?
Everything. All in All.

God is who He says He is. He is God. Its that simple. we can try and make a big deal about this and compliate it up where we are confused... just what the devil wants. Facts are God is God and either we believe in Him or not, and either be obey Him or Not. CHOICES>
But God is God, and we know all about HIm from the Bible He gave to us for reading to know HIm better, and He gave us prayer to know HIm better too. we dont need to know more details than that about WHO He is. He just GOd, just like He says, and HE can do anything.
To complicate this is just what the devil wants.
As for me, me and myself will serve the Lord.
BUt, we know from the Bible, that there is Father God, that Jesus the SOn is God and the Holy Spirit is also God. THe triune God, THree operating as one. ITs so clear in the Bible, dont see how some wont accept this , the blessed trinity.
