Since the age of 'viability' is fluid (it keeps getting earlier based on improvements in technology) ability to live outside of the womb can't be the determination of when a fetus is actually considered a human.

So, when does a fetus become a human?

if you were swimming naked in a lake on your lunch break from work, and your co-worker followed you, and stole your clothes when u werent looking? would you go back to work naked and explain the situation. . . .(or let them assess it for themselves)...or would you drive around naked looking for the guy who stole your underware?

If you think this is me being racist, think again. Just today it was on the news that white boys are under achieving than any other ethnicity in Britain today. I actually posted this because there are alot of posts on this site saying how bad black kids do in school. What do you think about it? check the link!

when stonehenge was built ,the locals then must have thought Oh no what a carbuncle on our lovely green field, built by slave labour with non complementary materials from hundreds of miles away, what a bloody eyesore.probably the ancient equivalent of the millenium dome.wouldnt it save the annual rigmarole and policing costs if they crushed the stones and built some well needed houses on the site?

Here is one of mine, to get it started.

Infectious Disease
Infectious disease speak of the demons that torment us.

Infectious Disease.
Rotting my mind.
Blinding my sight.
Stealing my life.
Taking control.
Losing control.
Doing unspeakable things
This infectious disease.
It comes and goes.
Not sure why or how.
But I must stop this.
It has a name.
But not deserving.
This infectious disease.
It's around me, deep within me.
I found a way to destroy.
This infectious disease.
The Blood of the lamb.
Jesus Christ.

Short of weapons, threats, labodomys, and alcohol or drugs, would you try swinging if your partner agreed? Would a more open and safe outlook on sexuality reduce not only the divorce rates but also reduce psycotropic drug usage for deppression?

There are a number of applicable passages in the Bible, as well as a number of additional sources in the various Christian faiths.

The two most significant points as relates to this issue are that we are not to kill, and we are not to judge others (or perhaps it would be more accurate to say that we are not to judge others vengefully.)

So can we justify ending a 'guilty' life, while protecting an 'innocent' one?

Ignatius of Antioch wrote a letter to Polycarp in 107 AD, (just before he was martyred) that read in part:

"I pray for your happiness for ever in our God, Jesus Christ ..."

Ignatius of Antioch was appointed Bishop by the Apostle Peter; he was also a disciple of the Apostle John. If he was taught by John that Jesus is God, then why do you insist on following the WBTS's interpretation of John 1:1, instead of John's own understanding of it?

I assure you, there are other VERY early references that say essentially the same thing: that Jesus is God. It's simply untrue that this concept was invented by the Catholic Church, as your organization has taught you.

A while back, my alma mater's most infamous Christian group, the Campus Crusade for Christ, covertly offered a "seminar" on Muslim philosophy, which was actually a Christian speaker who would attempt to convert Muslims to fundie Christianity. Crusade's advertisement flyers said nothing of this angle, but I would out through covertly reading their mailing list. (I had a few run-ins with them in the past.)

When they tried to convince one of my best friends to attend (she was a sweet Muslim girl from Pakistan), I got mad and organized a protest. Several of us picketed the speech, watching as several Muslim students were dragged by their fundie roommates in to the auditorium. A few of them knew what was going on (and were presumably only going to be polite), shouting some encouragement to those of us picketing.

One of the organizers of the event, however, tried to bully us into leaving. He said we were offending him by twisting the words of a book he considered sacred.

How many of you feel ashamed, humiliated or embarassed, and like a "loser" when you ask for and have to fight for assistance you deserve to receive?

Such as asking for, fighting with Workers Compensation when you have a legitimate work accident?

I am so used to being independent and self reliable that I just cringe and start to cry when I have to ask for assistance. Then I feel even more humilitated.

I know its probably about pride, which is about all I have left and not very darn much of that. If you are like me you WANT to say "in your face" I can take care of myself - but in reality I cant, I am homeless now. Scared to death.

Its a very hard and bitter pill to swallow.

In the OT, there are commands to stone certain behaviors, but in the NT, Jesus says that this is wrong...
Is he changing the divine law?
Is he saying that it was always misinterpreted?

Ok I'm a work and we have a blood van here. My boss said I could go and give blood so I went. When I began to do it, give blood, they asked some questions and then I was turned away because I was gay. The nurse said gays can't give blood because its and FDA rule if you have been with a man you are unable to do it.

What kinda of crap is that. I mean they say the blood supply is low but they turn you away. I'm clean and heathly and get tested every six months, oh and I've been with my partner forever. Someone please expalin this to me.

This happened to me last night. A cousin of a friend dropped by to "just to see how I was doing". We chat on occasion when she's someplace that I am but generally we don't associate with each other. I was annoyed because I was watching pirate master eating velveeta shells and cheese and all of sudden she knocks on my door. I can't stand that. What about you.
