I've heard of some differences like:
-LCMS believes that there are errors in the Bible, WELS says there are None.
-Women in LCMS are given authoritative positions over men. WELS doesn't allow that at all.
-LCMS prays with people of other various beliefs, WELS does not.

are those true? what are some other differences? there has to be more than that....is that why the 2 split?

Shmyrna is homeschooled and I read the Bible to her 40 times a day, EVERY day. And yet when I tell her to look up a verse or show me how well she can read Leviticus she just lays there defiantly, refusing to read.

How can I direct her away from this obvious obstinance and make her read?

I try to be, but it doesn't always work. There are just some things I refuse to accept. What can I say? I'm human. I try to keep my myself open to the possibilites but it's hard, especially as a Catholic! I love my faith and I wouldn't ever wander into a different form of faith. It's party of who I am. Why would I want to change that but it is very diffcult to live up to the standards.

I did a lot of research and:

Cordelia means Sea Jewel, Daughter Of The Sea, Sea (Mermaid) Princess

Aquamarine means Sea and/or Ocean, Sea Jewel

Searene (pronounced Ser-ene) means Mermaid

Do you think it is a good name? If not what name do you think?

why didn't he insure that the bible was written so that everyone could understand it without translation. why just in one native tongue. why didn't he give the writers the gift of writing in every language.

what would be a logical reason as to why he would allow all of the confusion about his message.

it seems as though maybe the bible was only meant for those people of that time, not all of you with other native tongues.

surely, he knew that a lot would be lost in translation.
