Check out this question. The guy got plenty of actual answers to his question, but he choose the girl who agreed with him and didn't have a clue what she was talking about. She got more thumbs-down than anyone.

I bet we could eliminate stupid questions in no time if the best answer went to the person with the most thumbs-up instead of letting the asker choose.

Of course, we'd have to weight it by the number who answered and how far down on the list you were and how many thumbs-down you got as well - but the principle is sound.

Sometimes I wonder why I leave well-thought-out answers with sources to people who, in the end, just end up going with the 'your right! praise jeebus!' answer.

I have met a few and it's not a drinking problem per se. But what are your thoughts on alcohol of any kind for a Christian? Is wine ok? I don't drink but am curious. Thanks

Has anyone else noticed a lot of fake "LDS" people on Yahoo answers R & S lately? We had one person who was impersonating a poster who is LDS (one of my contacts) on R & S...he copied her name and avatar to try to fool others, and asked all kinds of questions bad-mouthing the LDS faith. When he was called out on it,, he changed his name and avatar to try and hide....I've seen two people with "Missionary" in their name who have nothing but Anti-Mormon questions and answers in their profiles, and I've also seen people posing as "Mormons" with no questions asked except the ones meant to generate hateful and disrespectful responses towards LDS.

Does it make their death a little easier to deal with if things are brought to the surface in efforts to strive for peace for the both of you?
If you were unable to discuss any issues w/this parent, do you wish you'd made the effort when they were alive? or does it really make a difference?

If there is considerable more evidence that Jesus lived in our history than there is evidence for the (big bang theory) how can you logically conclude that Jesus never existed but swear by the big bang theory? After all the big bang is only a Theory not proven fact.
This question is for Athiests who would accept God if He showed
Himself. As for the Atheist who say they would reject God to His face, your issues exceed the scope of this panel.

Harvard University lecturer Jessica Stern, the conference's keynote speaker, spent five years interviewing extremists for her 2003 book "Terror in the Name of God: Why Religious Militants Kill."

She said it was dangerous for U.S. President George W. Bush to use terms such as "crusade" or "ridding the world of evil."

"It really is falling into the same trap that these terrorists fall into, black and white thinking," Stern told Reuters on Wednesday. "It's very exciting to extremists to hear an American president talking that way."

Im so curious, this is one of the few things about life i dont really understand. You know how you feel like when you go somewhere you feel like youve been there before but never have? Does this mean you were there in your last life or something? Please try to help me understand.

I've never read the entire Bible and I've never been what most people consider "religious". I've always believed there is a higher power, I just wasn't sure the Bible/Christianity was the whole story. But now I'm at a point in my life where I'd like to attend church and commit to being a believer in God. However, now that I'm reading the Bible, I'm finding it harder than ever to believe what I am reading. How does a person just put aside all the skepticism and just believe?

I don't know .... well it seems to me that a funeral where someone lays to rest--you see them deceased in body form, and it is like a more complete closure because you witness them dead.
But if you saw them alive, then to witness them in ashes in the wind, it doesn't 'seem real'--you know what I mean?
Perhaps either way feels surreal?
I know death is a touchy subject, and never have asked these questions b4. Only experienced two deaths, Grandfathers
What is a cremation funeral like that you attended? [aside from being sad of course]

I'm assuming Jesus went through puberty...so in so doing wouldn't it be understandable to believe he lusted after a woman...I mean tell me what boy going through it hasn't? It is partly biological, and if he was all man as well as god...wouldn't that be a correct assumption?

Which of the 9 different versions is your favorite one, and do you agree with the church for going with the one about "God the Father and his Son Jesus Christ".. If they had used one of the other versions, would the church be where it is today?

I have to agree that I like the current one the best, but the one about being visited by Angel Moroni - that might help non-members appreciate and understand us better. So I'm on the fence.

For reference, a couple of the the other versions I've uncovered in my research are:

- Visited by two angels
- Visited by one angel
- Visited by Angel Moroni and Jesus
- Visited by Holy Spirit
