Only if we are created beings can we have any purpose to our lives.

“Unless you assume a God, the question of life’s purpose is meaningless.” –Bertrand Russell (noted mathematician, philosopher, Nobel Laureate and atheist)

Our intense need for our lives to have meaning and purpose must have come from somewhere. If God exists, that need must have been placed in our heads to point us to seek Him.
If the need came from evolution, then we are doomed to be miserable because evolution forces us to seek a purpose that does not exist.

If you're really serious about bringing yourself back ... you have to call a psychiatrist or psychologist referral service and find a good professional to talk to. They'll prescribe you some effective medication that will lift your spirits and help you cope with the deadness inside.

Then, if you want to bring yourself back to life, I suggest you do one of two things:

1. Get a kitten or a puppy

2. Or volunteer as often as you feel comfortable at the nearest SPCA or animal rescue for a while.

There's nothing more uplifting than watching a crazy little baby animal running around, falling over things, getting things stuck on them and cuddling up to you because you're the one with the food. You need to tell yourself that you're worth helping even if it's you helping yourself.

And give yourself some TLC. Think of a TV series or movie that always makes you laugh and watch it or rent it. Give humour to yourself as a gift. Give little gifts to yourself like an Iced Cappuccino or a new haircut or style, a massage at a spa, an cool evening course or a walk to view the sunset. Give yourself some kind of treat every day.

Eventually you'll be inspired towards a purpose even if all the purpose is is to do something for YOU every day! You're a special person and one day you might make a big difference in other people's lives. Don't let a really down time in your life become bigger than you.

Best, best of luck to you.

therapy may help, but it may also cause a lot of emotional stress. the only person that can bring yourself back to life is yourself, and the support from the people you love most. you just need to make yourself believe that you are important and that there is more in life that you have not yet experienced. so don't be so down, because you are allowing yourself to look weak to everyone else.

Therapy and some good medication

Seriously I dont know. Sometimes you have to make physical changes to feel them emotionally. You know the old cliche "you cant feel your way into an action but you can act your way into a feeling".
Thats the hard part though, just getting out of bed when there is no meaning.

Sometimes spirituality helps. Whether you are christian, muslim , jew etc. That can help will you figure things out.

Find something you enjoy doing and be outdoors more. Be positive and exercise a little more. And quit with all the complaining and maybe get a girlfriend.

Therapy, possibly some good medication, and go out of your way to do nice things for people even if you don't feel like it.
