I've been here a short time, but I see that some people's questions are valid and some are not. How do you deal with those who feel they already know the "meaning of life" and are ignorant anyway?

It is a very nice song I like, but not being a Malian myself, I do not understand what she is saying. Oumou Sangare is a Malian lady and she sings in a language called Dioula or Jula.

It seems so stupid that so many are controlled with fear based religion. Why not live life and enjoy? Why are people so afraid to burn forever that they turn into idiots, backstab friends, destroy perceived enemies, all in the name of religion? When is it gonna stop?

If you get burned, oh well, it happens, what can you do?

But why be so afraid that it destroys your life?

I don't care about race often, but I read so many threads suggesting the annihilation of a race. How is this possible, when these factors take place.

White + Black = Black.
Black + Hispanic= Black.
Asian + Black = Black

NO MATTER WHAT RACE is mixed, the Black race always stays. Does this make other races extinct?

It seems the media will automatically refer to any black person as Afro American. To do so, you need to know the nationality of such individual to use that term. Have you noticed, a news paper may indicate "..pictured are two young afro american children playing..." or on the TV news, ..'the suspect was a middle aged african americn male....Blacks are not exclusive to america, these people they're identifying may come from the UK, or West Indies, Canada, France, Cuba, or even from an African country!! If so, then the term African America would be incorrect to use for these individuals! I understand black people may not want to be referred to as black, because no one is actually black in color. But, we use the term white all the time, and the same applies, there are no real "white" people...

I'm kind of atheist, I believe in the christian values for my family, and bring my boys up in a christian household, but I struggle with believing whether or not god exists.

I want to cook a meal for the islamic family who live across the road.

I understand halal... sort of.

But would it be seen as acceptable? Are there any religious reasons for them not to accept food for me?

I know the jewish can't eat with me cause they consider it "kosher" but what about islamic people?

I know of some people who's email address is either their full or abbreviated name. I have one like that too but it's for work. If your email address is your full or abbreviated name, why did you choose to do that? If it isn't why didn't you use your real name?

According to Vedas,when a person is born he/she is committed to complete his life based on Dharma (Individual obligation with respect to caste, social custom, civil law, and sacred law) and Karma (The total effect of a person's actions and conduct during the successive phases of the person's existence, regarded as determining the person's destiny).
