-they both fear a god and live life dealing with that fear.
-they both refuse to accept other people's faiths and intolerant of them.
-force is one of their means of communication: bombing of abortion clinics, bombing of buildings. threatening others of hell.
-they're both judgemental and eager to damn you if u dont live like they live. they want you to think the same way they do.
-they're both patriarchal societies. they worship mainly the males and neglect the females: jesus, allah
-they both think if they dont pray to a god at a certain time, they will get punished.

seems i can't distinguish christians from muslims. someone help.

People who have faith, have a belief in prayer which is calming, and hope that their prayers will be answered. The power of the mind is phenomenal over the body and can improve health drastically on it's own. This is not meant to offend any one. I just want to know what is used in place of faith? People of faith have a sense of self worth, that a higher power watches over them and cares for them, so they can deal with depression often more quickly and without medication. Once again I do not want to offend anyone, I just want to hear your viewpoints.

Quite regular through the year there are entries in the newspaper, magazines, TV talk shows, or newsmagazine about consensual polygamous marriges. But it is always a "shame on you" slant put on those doing it as if they were doing something very depraved or revolting. Even hinting that the children living in such an arrangement will be psychologicaly scared and maybe physically in danger. Taking away the religious component, is it not just another veriant family orientation like gays and lesbians?

It seems such a violent culture . The sunnis and shiites blowing each other to bits daily . The extremists wanting to bring about and islamic state in britain. Hanging and stoning people in public is positively medevil. Barbaric. They scare me and i wish we could send them home to a country that is ruled by islamic law. If they cant accepts the laws of this country they shouldnt be here. go home extremists. I live in a democracy so no death threats please . I am entitled to my opinion.

-holyspirit Cannot "speak" ? but human can:

-"Another" comforter? who is the another?
