I don't find that question offensive! I'm American!
The party's we have are fun!
I feel sorry for you!
If you are going out of your way to have fun and you think what Americans do for fun is boring!
Your basically going to die! because what we do for fun is sometime suicidal.
I get so messed up i can't see some times. That's just off liquor. Have you ever got so high you thought you would die if you didn't breath the right air! .....drugs are bad.....no for real!
sometimes you get some bad drugs.
all party isn't good party! and if you have more fun then America I'm going to write bush and tell him to unite with your country.

Its not the question thats offensive. Its your assertions that follow the question that are. For example why yes people in the US arent starving to death in the streets to say its "boring" is silly. New York is pretty much the cultural hub if the modern world. Our entertainment industry is the largest and most developed in the world. I dont even understand how one can have "too much opportunity" nor what relationship that even has to your original question. As for the US being soft due to its wealth i can only laugh. Look at the statistics of violence and homicides in relation to global wealth. US is the richest most developed nation on the planet and the unwashed masses who would LOVE to live here can only speak badly about while being utterly dependent on its existence.

Because you're saying that all Americans get what they want with no problem, that everything is handed to us, when that's far from the truth. Some American's are like that, rich and lucky, but that's in any country. There's always people better off than others. But, many many American's are poor and have to work hard for what they NEED, many don't get what they WANT. Our country bends over backwards to help other countries with starvation and poorness and everything else, when we have all that in our own country that we should be worrying about. The point is, don't go generalizing us when you really have no idea.

I don't find that very offensive at all. America was kinda boring when I left, but now I am excited to be heading back at least for a while. Must be interesting to live in Ethiopia, but I find living just about anywhere you can have an interesting life.

I am not offended....but just to let you know...for those of us that have morals...and we don't take short cuts to have the things in life we desire...like an education...good job...home...family....it isn't as easy as you might think...There are those in America that do not cheat, lie, or try to get somewhere off the backs of others...but choose to forge there own success on their own merits...Not everyone is loaded down with money over here...it requires hard work, sacrifice and diligence...But I am happy for your successes. Good job.

it's not offensive. many americans have a pretty good life and have no idea what people in other parts of the world live like. It's sad, but true.

Because it is a huge misconception that everyone in America is rich and living the high life. It's not true. We have people living in poverty, we have crime, etc., then we have the extra bonus of having everyone hate us and wanting to kill us all the time. The only difference is that you have more opportunities in America to excel if you want to.

You're probably right in theory...life is easier in the U.S. But not for everyone. There are plenty who suffer, have little and feel very disinfranchised. I think people disagree most with the generalization of "all"...it's never "everyone" in ANY situation.
