with good works.

8For it is by grace you have been saved, through faith—and this not from yourselves, it is the gift of God— 9not by works, so that no one can boast. 10For we are God's workmanship, created in Christ Jesus to do good works, which God prepared in advance for us to do.

Here is the joint declaration of justification by Catholics (1999), Lutherans (1999), and Methodists (2006):

Now, here is my declaration as of 2007. Those Catholics are heathens and are a practicing cult. I always find it odd that mens dress pope-pee. I'll bet the Nazi pope loves that.

With love in all mens.

we are justified by using faith yet that faith could be alive (James 2). The regulation can't keep us because of the fact we are incapable of retaining it (Matthew 19:sixteen-17). consequently, salvation is thru grace by using faith. Catholics have greater non-Biblical rituals, praying the rosary, bowing till now statues.. I do remember a bishop telling me that human beings exterior the Catholic church are doomed. i don't understand if this nevertheless stands. If it does, it then holds that they think their doctrine is significant for salvation. A doctrine that is composed of a few issues that can not be present in Scriptures. I easily have no longer something against Catholics. As I attended the church for a minimum of twenty years of my existence. There are purely some issues that look non-Biblical, any claims that those non-Biblical issues are mandatory for salvation alarms me.

A) We don't "attain" salvation. That's a fait accompli. Happened some 2,000 years ago. All we can do is accept it.

B) Read the Epistle of James to the Hebrews. He explains quite clearly that faith without works is dead, ie, isn't really there at all. As you believe, so shall you behave.

C) Give the Church a break, pal. We been doin' this since the beginning (see Matt. 16) and all the Johnny-Come-Latelys since can't change that one little fact. Lord knows they'd like to.

I think you'll find there's a passage in the bible to back up just about every contradictory theory you could come up with ever, but, as a Christian-turned Catholic-turned Athiest- turned average philosopher-turned (passive) believer again, the theory goes that it's very easy to say you have faith and that you believe, but if you really were into what Jesus was on about you'd do things that he did, (not necessarily the miracles but the basic stuff) you'd want to help people because you are them and they are you, God is everyone and God is love so you are love and so on. I think that's it anyway.

Here is the joint declaration of justification by Catholics (1999), Lutherans (1999), and Methodists (2006):

By grace alone, in faith in Christ's saving work and not because of any merit on our part, we are accepted by God and receive the Holy Spirit, who renews our hearts while equipping us and calling us to good works.

With love in Christ.

Let me ask you this,in your faith belief is it not a fact that obedience to the commandments and also living the message of the Gospel attains for you eternal life? noe if Jesus said let him without sin cast the first stone, are you so sure that you can cast stones? in other words are you living an honest and totally faitful life youself, look to yourself then and not to what others do,because in the end you and I must face our personal judgement by Christ.

Let me put it this way: I have a feeling me and all of the other nurses in the world have a better chance of getting into a "heaven" than some hate-spouting born-again who's condemning those who have different views.
Grow up.
