Any Hindu please share his personal ( honest and real) spiritual experiences or feelings which an outsider might also experience. I guess people definitely experience spirituality in Hinduism (Idols, shrines, & religious rites) for if it had been otherwise, Hindusim would have perished.

People keep telling me that if I want to find a wife, I should join the church. I was brought up catholic, and I go to mass on Sundays, though not every sunday. But I don't understand how I would go about 'joining' the church.

Also, I know that this should not make a difference, but I'm an alcoholic with a pretty checkered past. Do you think they would want me there?

1. First they're raised in church

2. After being raised in church, they get into serious trouble. More trouble than the average Atheist

3. Than they say they found Jesus and changed their life for the better

4. When telling their story about Jesus saving them, they never mention the fact that they were raised in church which caused them to have the mind set to get into trouble in the first place.

I live in California. I just replied to another question and within my answer I used the word ' favorite '. When I clicked on spell check the word ' favorite ' was brought attention to and was given the spelling of ' favourite ' (with a ' u ' ) as a correction spelling choice. The choice of my own spelling was not in the list.

Is Yahoo Answers primarily a British based or originated site ? The British spelling of words uses the letter ' u ' more than American spelling.

And...yes, I do know that America is branched out from England and theirs is / was the original spelling of the english language and uses the letter ' u ' in words. Example...The English use spelling of ' colour ' with a ' u '. . . In the U.S.A. we spell that same word as ' color '. I'm really mostly asking here if Yahoo Answers is a British based / originated site.

That is when Nehru(India) visited Eintien(America)and what catches my attention is about the question made by Nehru to Eintien; both are scholar and leader of the time.

Have you find the meaning of life? But no answer found, why?

Jawaharlal Nehru (Hindi: जवाहरलाल नेहरू,) (November 14, 1889 – May 27, 1964) was a senior political leader of the Indian National Congress, was a pivotal figure during the Indian independence movement and served as the first Prime Minister of the Republic of India. Popularly referred to as Panditji (Scholar), Nehru was also a writer, scholar and amateur historian, and the patriarch of India's most influential political family.

Why are people assuming an atheist took the cross down when the article stated it was not? Why are people assuming *I* went to this chapel? This has nothing to do with any experience of mine.

If you take the time to answer, take the time to read the pertinent information so you do not look like a fool!

Thank you to those who did read the article in question and offered an intelligent response.

Sorry about the headder but I have asked questions in the past and had ittle response so i am hoping I will catch more people this way.

Disclaimer: Everyone answering this question has already heard about Jesus and that we are going to hell -thank you for your concern.

I have never gone skyclad I dont feel the need (I do have a strong urge to remain bare foot). I was wondering how many out there really practice this, as I am a sole practitioner and dont really know many others.

If you do what are your reasons, If you dont do you need some other way of dressing or like me feel the need to have bare feet?

I am also thinking about going to a camp and was wondering if there was a lot of pressure to do this. I dont mind if anyone else wants to, we all have our own needs but its just not for me. I'm in Engaland by the way.

Following up from a previous question asked some moments ago, I think the book of Genesis is awesome.

I know its fiction and don't think any of the charachters are real, except maybe historically Jacob but I'm not sure,

so what do you think of Genesis, who are your favorite charachters?

I think the parts with Adam and Eve are cool, and I also dig the parts where Abraham debates God about the destruction of Sodom, and he says "what if I could go find 50 worthy men, would you not destroy it" and God says "ok" then Abraham says "what if I found 45", I just dig that, God changes his mind cause a man argues with him.

Great story.

As for Revelation . . I've read it, its hard its like a battle plan against the Romans I feel, setting up for an invasion or something.

Catholics, along with Orthodox Christians were among the FIRST CHRISTIAN denominations. Protestants, and Christian devisions such as Evangelicals and Methodists, came afterwards.

It is totally wrong to judge Catholicism as 'wrong' or not Christian if you don't even know this fact. Catholics believe in the Holy Trinity and worship the same God as other Christians do. It is like saying your father is an antelope.
