Ok, my college is going to run a valentine rose delivery scheme this year.

There is this girl that I like very much but I've not told her that I liked her partly because she was already in a relationship. I have recently found out that she has broken up with her boyfriend, however they are still very good friends. Apparently, most of her friends does not know about this breakup and she told me not to tell anybody about this. She also told me that I'm the only few who knows about this. (Since I'm not one of her closest friends, I've no idea why she decides to tell me about this but not her closer friends... unless she's interested in me as well? Although she may have a very slight idea that I like her... but I'm not sure about this either).

Considering the situation, do you think I should go ahead and send her an anonymous rose for valentine or should I just forget all about it?

I just dont want to screw things up.

Hi, I am American. I've asked a few questions on Y!A UK and on one of my threads regarding movies, a few people mentioned the Lindon Cockney Rhyming Language. I have never heard of this so I was wondering if someone could explain and give an example. You might need to translate because Yank that I am, I'm not familiar with the British lingo(s). I think I am having problem saying 'No' , for instance, when I go out with a person. I am having problems saying no when the person asks me out for a second time ..and I am not interested in going out again . I wonder how can I hurt that person by not accepting it ......I know it is soo stupid and i do stand up and say 'No' but i feel uncomfortable....
What can I do to make myself stronger and more sensible.

in reality ive never actually met someone that was an open outward racist...im black and im not racist - i date interracially and like most of my friends are white, asian, hispanic because i go to a majority white school. anyway...

you are racist if.....

**you have a superiority complex towards any race - example - if you're white and you think blacks, hispanics, etc. are on a lower level than you are or "genetically inferior" and things of that sort
** you have hatred for certain racial groups; you hate a race based on the individuals and small groups of that race that have done something to make you upest or based on the biased media
**you make racial stereotypes like "blacks are all ignorant" "mexicans do nothing but jump over the border and have kids" or whatever other retarded things ppl say...or if you use the terms "you act white" (i hate when ppl tell me that lol)

No biography of him that I've been able to find tells the story behind the title that he used--it's the equivalent of count or earl in Spain and Portugul, and is also a reference to a junior branch of the Bourbon dynasty. He was born in the U.S. to an American father, although his mother was distant French aristocracy and I believe one of his two wives also had some connection to European nobility--but neither of those facts explains his use of the title. Was it just an affectation? Thanks very much--I haven't been able to find a satisfying answer, and it's driving me nuts! (I know, clearly I have too much time on my hands...)
