Since God is eternal, there is no place that He came FROM.
Since we humans have no way to understand eternity, we HAVE NO answer or way to find one while still mortal.
1 Cor 13:12
12 Now we see but a poor reflection as in a (brass) mirror; then we shall see face to face. Now I know in part; then I shall know fully,

Logic is a condition in physical reality. God is beyond those conditions and limitations. God is reality. The universe we live in was created by and is subject to that Creator God. We live in a created world, but that doesn't mean that God had to be created. It's not that hard to think outside the box, so long as you don't try putting God in one.

The Bible says that God came "from everlasting."
In response to some of these slams, I'll add this...Why is it that some people experience God, while others go on without a clue? How can you write off, heh, billions of people who experience the supernatural? The spirit world is more real than this one.
For most, I personally think that there are trade offs in life. Many who claim to be "intelligent" are really lacking in other areas...majorly lacking!!! Yet, they define value based on their intelligence...which simply is not intelligence- only the ability to learn and regurgitate information.
Most who call themselves wise, are 100% morons. Society doesn't tag them as this, but God does!

If the desire is insaciable, then maybe that desire is coming from something other than a Godly source. Not that it is wrong to speculate and ask that question. But it is not one that we can understand in our present state. It is like an ant trying to understand nuclear fusion. That is where our faith comes in. Trusting God for things we can't understand yet. But when I say that, I am not advocating blind faith like the faith my cousins says AA teaches. They say you can believe in a doorknob as long as you believe in something. That is an insult to our intelligence which God never intended. He made us intelligent beings with reasoning power and a free will. Not only does He reveal himself in the Bible, but also in creation and history. Below are two very informative sites that give one food for thought if you are really interested. You don't have to agree with them, but they are definitely something to get you thinking.

God was always here, God cannot die he is an aboundance of energy. And lives in a parallel universe looking down and watching his children. If you have a theory, I would like to hear it. Take care Heather

Nothing created God, There is a beginning and an end to everything. God is the beginning and the end of the earth and life and time. We can't quite understand it because we are sinful

It is nice to know that He never had a beginning, and therefore no ending. Human thought is the only thought that thinks in terms of begin and end, but these concepts do not apply to eternal substance.

People can't live without the idea of a God, because we can't cope with the idea of dying. And something to with make society work in a moral sense.
