Does anyone believe they have lived a life that is too bad to be accepted by God? If so, do you know that nothing is so bad that God could not forgive you for?

Such as the Trinity:
The New Catholic Encyclopedia states: “The formulation ‘one God in three Persons’ was not solidly established, certainly not fully assimilated into Christian life and its profession of faith, prior to the end of the 4th century. But it is precisely this formulation that has first claim to the title the Trinitarian dogma. Among the Apostolic Fathers, there had been nothing even remotely approaching such a mentality or perspective.”—(1967), Vol. XIV, p. 299.

Or the cross:
“The shape of the [two-beamed cross] had its origin in ancient Chaldea, and was used as the symbol of the god Tammuz (being in the shape of the mystic Tau, the initial of his name) in that country and in adjacent lands, including Egypt. By the middle of the 3rd cent. A.D. the churches had either departed from, or had travestied, certain doctrines of the Christian faith. In order to increase the prestige of the apostate ecclesiastical system pagans were received into the churches apart from

I grew up in Metropolitan DC. I dated a Muslim. I had Muslim neighbors. I had Muslim classmates. I taught some Muslims in Virginia. Now, I live in Iowa where there are very few Muslims, and I teach at a Christian school. I have some concerns about how these children are being exposed to Islam. The children have been taught to fear, and in some cases, HATE Muslims. Apparently the children are being taught that it's not a sin for Muslims to kill non-Muslims. Oh, and there are other negative things the children are learning. The outcome truly scares me, as I heard one of the students say, "I don't associate with Muslims...I mean terrorists." Another bluntly stated that, "Islam is a BAD religion."
Does this worry you? I'm against the way these children have been taught about Islam. How do I counteract? I want the children to learn about and accept the culture, not to begin hating the religion!

God rained manna down from the heavens (according to scripture) to feed the Jews.

Can he rain a little water on Ethiopia?

Or is he waiting for someone else to do it?

Jehovah's Witnesses disagree with the mainstream Christian belief that Jesus was "fully God, fully man." Witnesses teach that Jesus was not God, but rather God's first creation. Jesus existed in pre-human form as God's agent of creation and God's chief spokesman (the Word), and took on human form as the man Jesus by means of a virgin birth.

Ok, I already have it sort of planned out; I'm going to take her out to dinner and I want to rent a limousine. My question is about the limousine.....

It's expensive ($85/hour+15% gratuity) so I want to get the most out of it. I really can only afford 1 hour because dinner is going to cost around $70 and I want to buy her some flowers and a huge teddy bear (another $100).

Help me decide, should we:
- ride around in the limo for an hour and eat dinner afterwards
- ride to and from dinner in the limo (this may take longer than an hour though)
- eat dinner first, then surprise her with the limo picking us up
- your idea?

i ask yahoo answers for everything, sorry im addicted and i can't decide on my own! i need a second opinion. i know my girl will be happy with whatever i do, but i love to impress her.

"The Messengers" has a little 2yr old who sees spirits and seems to try to warn people about the dangerous ones by pointing at them, esp when they're sneaking up on you. Ok, well that's not what the movie's ABOUT, but that's what the trailer shows. Have you ever seen a little child in play and wondered who or what they're talking to?

I was always taught to stay away, but these people treat it like it's not a crime. If upper class people are doing drugs, and not just the poor people, then maybe this is like the prohibition? When alcohol was made legal, bootleggers went away... If drugs were made legal, would drug dealers go away?

Well,I happened to see a web-site in which there were guys performing bareback s*x.Actually I was quite flabbergasted seeing such young and cute guys doing it with the high risk of STDs.
I just wondered if they know the possible cosequences and asked myself how can directors allow this.

I do not need anyone to tell me that this guy was a fool or that I believe in the tooth fairy, however i have always thought it was an interesting statement. Please have a think about it and reply in terms of philospical/theological/sociological thinking.

Me: If I'm Christian what do you believe in?

Him: I dont believe in anything

Me: So you're an Athiest then?

Him: (Agressively) No! I told you I dont believe in anything like that.

I know God probably has a better idea of what is best for the world than I do and all but I just figured that starvation was a bad thing.....

I guess that since he hasn't done it yet perhaps it isn't the right time....

"The U.N. World Food Program (WFP) said in December that more than 38 million people across Africa are at risk of starvation."

"The United States and other Western governments spent millions of dollars to send grain surpluses to Ethiopia then. Aid workers contend that money would have been better spent on long-term solutions such as irrigation."
