Well,I happened to see a web-site in which there were guys performing bareback s*x.Actually I was quite flabbergasted seeing such young and cute guys doing it with the high risk of STDs.
I just wondered if they know the possible cosequences and asked myself how can directors allow this.

Unfortunately, it's a big selling point in a lot of gay porn to do bareback- hence the massive quantities of it advertised as such. I assume (and hope) that the only reasons it is attractive to viewers is because 'there aren't any condoms getting in the way of the action', not because the thought of bareback turns them on.

Good porn studios require frequent STD testing and clean bills of health before they do bareback scenes, but most websites and other dubious sources are pretty suspect, although they might be doing the same or some other safe methods. As to why directors allow it- well, they either don't care, or they are particularly shooting bareback stuff and know that the guys performing should know better or take the consequences (not the nicest of viewpoints, but hey).

The possible consequences are devastating- I have no statistics on disease in the gay porn star community, but I bet it's higher amongst non-famous bareback stars.

If you want to fight it, you can relay messages to porn distributors asking them to practice safe sex or put notices on their videos/sites/etc. that specify STD testing beforehand, or simply refuse to purchase and hence fuel the machine that is bareback sex.

Hope that helps.

Some people care more about the money than the consequences or their responsibilities. And some people are just too short-sighted to see or worry about the consequences of the things they do for immediate pleasure.

However, please understand that sex does not CAUSE STD's (contrary to what the radical Right would have you believe). If no one is infected in the first place, there is nothing to pass on. Responsible directors do have their "performers" tested regularly for STD's to minimize the risk. Unfortunately, of course, HIV may not show up for some time, so there's no guarantee that testing will protect them.

They WERE cute though, weren't they?

The directors unfortunately allow it because there is a market for that type of videos. The directors are out to make money and they aren't risking their lives so, no, they do not care.
This is why we need real sex education in schools. I don't think anywhere enough of today's kids, gay or str8, understand the true consequences of unprotected sex.
But, the actors are responsible too. They are adults, or should be. Money talks. And some just don't care about their sexual health or that of their partners. As long as they are enjoying themselves.
Maybe the industry needs more regulation.

To my understand their supposed to get tested alot or something but you know that these directors do not care they just want thier pay check.
People just do things for the money, and like so many others have already said, alot of our youth think they are bullet proof, I know I have friends like that.

Most pornographic studios require actors to have checkups regularly. Personally I'd imagine that the actors would prefer that their on screen partners are clean too.

In the US Porn industry they supposedly manage it by having regular checks!

As if that'd stop a dose of NSU or Thrush.

One would think that almost every one has the knowledge, but that is not the case. Sometimes, the youth feel that it is not going to happen to them and then it does.
