So Jesus leads the new path to the new religion throught his teachings and such. Now if we believe Christ is the Light and the way then we should only follow his teachings right? Well if his teaching contradict the old testament then why do fundamentalist Christians who believe christ is the only way to god quote the old testement as according to their Creedo it is no longer RELEVANT! So why do they continuosly do this? Its like quoting Shakespeare to prove Freud ( not the best example but you know what I mean)

This is actually a question I asked myself when I was Christian. If we are supposed to love the enemy and love the sinner hate the sin does this apply to the ultimate enemy.

If Satan asked for forgiveness would God forgive him, should you pity him for his pride and arrogance and pray for him to see the light and become born again. It would certainly defeat him in his present guise.

i am from india,i study in a convent.
i'm in the 10 th class i.e. i graduate out of school this year.
the school has kept a eucharistic celebration in the church, but on that day i am sure i'll be in my periods.
according to my religion we can't go to holy places when we are in our period, but i know that it is not so in christianity.

my problem is- my mom does not want me to attend the celebration since the church is a holy place.
how do i convince her that it is totally different when it comes to christians.

Most of modern day Humans Rights actually stems from Islam where Muhammed introduced rights of everyone including those who are caught in times of war.
Rights of women - to own property and be legally recognised
Brought the first written constiution into being allowing freedoms for all.
At time of Muhammed he said all who have a faith are free to practice that faith be it Christianity or Judaism without fear or hindrance. Yet in Christian Europe it was the 'Dark Ages' with different Christian groups killing each other in the name of the true
God only 'there version of Christianity brought'.
Islam brought many other wonderful inventions without which life in 2007 would be very difficult.
Check out www.1001inventions.com

Remember all religions have people how kill in the name of God.
Look at Christian History.

Yet Christian Europe only brought these rights into being in the 20th Century.

And yet people who haven't even read it say its ludicrous. Have anyof you ever read the story of the golden cal fin the quran? Does it not really mean that we make things more complicated than necessary? Can we not just believe that there is a God ( what ever you call him/her/it?) and let others believe as they choose? And if you are an aetheist can we all not agree that it is your choice to do say and that you shouldn't be judged for that choice as it isn't our place?
