And yet people who haven't even read it say its ludicrous. Have anyof you ever read the story of the golden cal fin the quran? Does it not really mean that we make things more complicated than necessary? Can we not just believe that there is a God ( what ever you call him/her/it?) and let others believe as they choose? And if you are an aetheist can we all not agree that it is your choice to do say and that you shouldn't be judged for that choice as it isn't our place?

Well, of course it would take at least 40 men to edit it. Though, the story of how it was written is as much fiction as the rest of it. There is no Allah, nor any other gods.

So, people use the thought that the koran was written by an illiterate (moon god worshiping paedophile) to prove it is valid, but point to Joseph Smith being uneducated as proof that the Book of Mormon is untrue?

Gee, you guys need to get some consistency into your hatred.

Well Allaah does exist and to correct u Quraan was not written, it was revealed on Prophet Muhammad, n there has been no changes made to Quraan, it is in the same state as it was some 1400 years ago.

All those people who blow up themselves and kill others on the name of Islam are psycho, uneducated, uncivilized poor people who blow themselves to help their family get money. Its all a bloody political game.

How could the Qu'an be writen by an illiterate person? No, it was written in ONE BOOK a few years after he died. The Qur'an had been all written down before he died,it is just that it was not in ONE COMPLETE BOOK.It was put together in ONE BOOK about a few years after he died,by his closest companions. The companion was chosen by Muhammad's(s.a.w)best friend Abu Bakr(r.a).Abu Bakr chose Zaid ibn Thabbat(r.a.),to start the campain of making the Qu'an a complete book.Zaid was given to Muhammad (s.a.w) by his kind wife Khadija(r.a.)as a servant when he was 15 years old,but he was set free as soon as he was given to him.Abu Bakr chose Zaid because:
1.)He was one of the Few people who had memorized the entire Qur'an during the prophet's(s.a.w.) lifetime.
2.)He could write, and he was a noble trustworthy companion of the Prophet(s.a.w.)
3.)He was also one of the few people who heard the prophet(s.a.w.) recite the entire Qur'an in the Tarwaweed prayers during the prophet's last Ramadhan.

Zaid first objected and said that the prophet told us not to.Also because of the fear of one day it would be added to the list of corrupt and im-pure books. But Abu Bakr re-assured him recalling an 'ayat(verse) from the Qur'an saying,"It is he who has reveald it,and verily it is he who will protect it (from corruption)."Zaid relized it,and orderd the Qur'an to be written in one book.
Now the whole story is kinda long,so what I have told you is only about 1/3 of the whole story.

The Bible has many different versions all to suit the different branches of Christianity. If you are Catholic we are taught communion is eating the embodiment of Christ and drinking his blood (does that mean we are cannibals?) So some would say that is ludicrous (based on your theory)

Those who do not accept Qur'an as a Word of God are disbelievers

Your stance is most reasonable, admitted.
But it is the Muslims who wont allow others to follow their own beliefs, even in their own country.
In india , Hindus are 85% and Muslims 12%. Even then they
prevent hindus from their Poojas on flimsy / no grounds .
They R inviting big time trouble for themselves, once the Hindoo patience is exhausted.
