The Old Testament is still relevant even for a fundamentalist Christian. What Jesus Christ did was to explain and compare the law of God with the traditions of the Pharisees who had slightly changed the law by their traditions until it had another meaning and who neglected the spirit of the law by focusing on the outward action without considering the heart attitude. He said that he wasn't come to abolish the law but to fulfill it. The difference is that our sin is now not only covered by continual sacrifices, but blotted out by his own blood. He is the fulfillment of Old Testament prophecy. Could talk a lot more about this, but don't want to make it too long.

The old testament is still relevant and was not "replaced".
I'm not a "fundamentalist Christian", in fact some say my religion isn't Christian; but, here's what I think. Teachings in the old testament apply today the same they did back then, like the ten commandments for example. However, since the writings and interpretations are much older, contradictions can be found due to human error. It doesn't make the old testament laws less applicable, just harder to understand.
When Jesus came, he fulfilled the Law of Mosses and added on to it, he didn't replace it. Jesus even said adultery is still a still (as an example); but now, if you even think about it or want it, you have already "committed adultery in your heart."
The Law of Moses was mostly about what a person can physically do to get closer to God (Rituals, sacrifices, prayers, etc). Jesus introduced what you need to do in your heart and mind, as well as physically, to get closer to God.
The Bible is true, although it may have faults do to all the compilations, translations, and interpretations by men (some with their own agenda) it has gone through. The trick is to find out what's right and what does it mean. Unfortunately, many people have different ideas. That's why we have so many churches today.

You are trying to speak for "fundies" based on what you think they think, not on what they do think. First of all the OT is not "no longer relevant". Also the NT does not in any way contradict the OT. Jesus did not start a "new path", it has been taught since the garden of Eden, when God said the seed of the woman would crush the head of the serpent. (Refering to Christ) We follow the whole Bible which is consistant with the teachings of Christ. So we continue to do it because the Bible is all scripture, and is all useful and profitable. We do not just follow the NT. It is those who do not study the Bible that think the things you do.

I recognised Christ as a type of role model and I believed that as a follower of Christ I was to take up my cross and follow Him even unto death. Christ didn't come to convert the innocent but the guilty, he spread the good news, he made miracles occur, he was a healer, and he upset the established religions of the day enough to crucify Him. Christ came, went, and lives on in many manifestations, leading the way of the righteous, named and renamed since creation... Adam, David, Jesus, ETC.
Instead of following Christ the churches continued to kill anyone
who followed Christ, if any other healed the sick, or made miracles the church would call them witches and burn them at the stake... so the pagans were made bad, the wizened old crones were made witches, their land was confiscated and they were burned as witches for living the Christ life.
In the meantime the Christians used the murder weapon as their symbol and continue to cruxify anyone who vagely resembles Christ. The truth will set you free and walking in the light is the only path to true fellowship. Christians misuse the bible because there is not much truth in them and that is why they can't get along with other Christians and we have so many different churches... they simply must continue to change the nature of truth, they are liars!

Jesus was in existence since the beginning of time, God tried to guide people into doing the right thing in the old testament but when the people didnt listen and disobeyed, He had to bring Christ into this world in physical form to show us a new way, but this new way connects with the old way in that now all things are put unto Jesus, Him being the ultimate sacrifice. So now, believing and following in Christ is the key to our salvation.

Jesus is the new path and the new light. When approaching the bible, old or new testament, you must do so prayerfully. Why? Because both the OT and the NT are about one person: Jesus Christ. If you keep this in mind, you will see the scriptures open up in a whole new way.

The Old Testament is the old law. Jesus Christ came to bring about the new law. He died on the cross for sins. And Jesus did say He was the only Way to the Father.

The old testament law is a measuring stick to show us how far we miss the mark. We actaully can not do those things. Some people would say I'm nuts but we all at times lie, look at other women, covet, dishonor our parents ect...but going to jesus cleanses our sin and makes us righteous in the fact we put on his because ours is like filthy rags. Its not about following a lst of rules its about our relationship with him. He cleans the junk he wants out of our lives.

I think the answer to your question can be found with an understanding of covenants. While God does not change His relationship with His people has been modified based on need. Your desire to understand this shows a yearning that Christ can fulfill

Christians quoting Bible which they wrote themselves. It is NOT initial word of God revealed to Jesus.
So we should not consider modern Bible as a correct source of God`s revelation. It contradicts within itself as well as you have said here, it contradicts Old Testament as well.
But when it comes to preaching Christians are quoting Old testament to show off how knowledgeable they are...
They should realize they are contradicting themselves
