I'm 5'8" not exactly an amazon, but people make me sound like one. I get comments like "wow you're a tall girl" or how tall are you, and i answer and they act like i'm lying. I hate when they say "wow you're tall do u play basketball"? I feel like saying wow you're short do you play miniature gulf? but i don't want to stoop to their level.
I'm not that tall. Why do people feel it's okay to ask me this all the time??
It's kinda like saying wow you are really fat! Not really the same, but you get what i'm saying. So is it rude or should i let it slide????

After a heated debate last night with my partner I want to know from ADULTS if they were affected in any way by being brought up by parents of the same sex?? On the TV last night there was something on about gay couples adopting babies and children and I got quite angry with my partner when he said it shouldn't be allowed - I disagreed with him and he said it was unfair as it would seriously affect the child when it was older.

So I want to know if you have been affected by it or not!! I believe that people whether they are gay or not should be allowed to raise children and I think the problem lies with society for not accepting this - surely it is better for children to be raised in a loving home and does it matter if the people raising them are gay or not!!

Do people really need to "come out" to everyone? I don't get it. Do straight people turn round to their parents when they're 18 and say "Mum, Dad, I'm straight"?

What if some people are supposed to deny God in order to make the believers stand out? (kind of like Calvinism but not quite)

If we assume that hell was not everlasting for the individual soul, then this form of predestination would seem to work.

What do you think?

Note: Don't bother calling me a "believer in fairy tales" because I'm making this up. That counts as creativity, not delusion.

i saw something last night that really disturbed me. children at church were being taught evolution is fake and creation is real. afterwards they were given an oral test on what they believe. these kids were just rattling off what they were told and still had a look of confusion. when asked why they believe in creation they questionably answered back, because they bible says so, like they were hoping to get the right answer. is that fair? or another form of brainwashing?

If your beliefs are true you will go to heaven the kingdom of cruel tyrant God and we will be going to hell with great Satan.
Satan is a better person to me than God. The reason why he tempted Adam and Eve to eat the forbidden fruit was explained in a book called Book of Adam and Eve( http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Banned_from_the_Bible ). The book also alleges that God made all his angels bow down to his greatest creation - Adam. Satan refused to bow to someone who is inferior to him and made later. If God respected the right to equality why should he ask Stan to do it? The only wrong Satan did was tempting Eve to eat the cursed fruit. I think that is not a crime done to humanity but a help given to it. I would rather be an intelligent man with eternel death than walking naked in the garden of Eden.
Satan was a person who fought against a tyrant who had a habit of killing people as shown in great flood. We atheists will be martyrs who will die along with Satan fighting a tyrant.

But if you tell someone that s/he has a beautiful African look, it is an insult? Tell someone that s/he has beautiful Italian eyes or a cute Irish face, it's fine, but somehow complimenting ethnic/racial beauty of someone of African descent is wrong to do. Why???

a means to save their ruined reputations? Do they think a few days in a rehab center will really cure them? Redeem their actions? Gains them instant forgiveness? To me, they are using it as a place to hide and avoid having to explain their actions. It's an insult to our intelligence, and the caring people who work at these centers.

I have been called a bigot because I truly enjoy so much of the art, music, and culture of Africa. I have been looked at with suspicion when I wear African clothes or have African art in my house.
