I myself have not actually seen but had a feeling though. My sister claims to have seen a few (nice ones) around places & my mom has told me stories about encounters when she was younger. My encounter was actually this past New Years Eve. I was babysitting my friend's 6 month old son while her & her husband had to work. The baby had already been put to sleep & I had my phone downstairs in my room (i live in the finished basement) charging cause it was almost dead. I was laying on the floor on my stomach watching tv for a while when all of a sudden it felt like someone had tapped me on the back a few times there in between my shoulder blades to get my attention. Nobody was there of course. After that I suddenly had the feeling that I had to go check my phone. Turns out my friend had called twice just to check & see how her son was doing & had freaked out a lil when I wasn't answering the phone. As for my mom's encounters, one was about one night when she was sleeping & could feel someone sitting down on the edge of her bed. You know how you can open your eyes to a squint & still see but it still looks like your eyes are closed? She did that while still feeling someone sitting on the bed but didn't see anyone there. She was soooo creeped out. Another time she was babysitting a few of her small cousins (or some relative) around Christmas time. They lived in a 100 year old house. She had put the kids to bed & then fell asleep on the couch for a while. All of a sudden all the lights & the tv went on & the little train around the tree started up & she could hear a baby crying in one of the back rooms. Here's the creepy part....the kids were a little above toddler age & they were sleeping when she checked on them but still heard a BABY crying. My dad is a jerk & doesn't believe in any of that stuff. I completely do because I've seen a picture that one of my friends took. She had an entire roll of film (pre-digital days) that she had taken of objects outside. One of them was this old but beautiful oak in a cemetary that was to be chopped down & uprooted. When the pix were developed, there was the faint picture of a person standing next to one of the gravestones in the tree picture. We knew it wasn't over-developing or transfer from another picture cause none of the pictures she took had people in them. She kept that picture in a frame for quite a while because it was so amazing & creepy at the same time.

I don't know. When I was a little girl one time when I was staying with my grandparents I woke up in the middle of the night and thought I saw a man in the hallway. I wasn't scared though which is strange since I didn't recognize the person. The next morning I asked my grandpa if he was up in the middle of the night and he said no. A few years later my grandma told me a story of the family that lived in the home before they did. They had a son and they were adding a game room on the back of the house for him and before the room was finished, he died in an accident. My grandma had many things happen in that house that made her think that the guy's ghost was there. I would say that I don't believe in ghosts, but I don't know if that was one that I saw or not...

Yes, I have. I know that there is still one here. How? Because I had a neighbor visit and she bad mouthed the ghost and told it was dead and it needed to go to the other side...I wish I knew that she was going to do this, because I would never have wanted her to...well that night, my dog jumped off the bed and then my blankets came off of my feet up about 2 feet from the bed...I moved my feet and there was not ANYTHING there. My dog refused to get back into bed for about a 1/2 hour after this happened, and my dog LOVES the bed..how do I know that the ghost is still here? Because I can feel cold spaces every once and awhile.

Not in the flat I am in now no, in one of my previous homes, my ex husband woke up and there was a lady beside the bed crying and begging for help. He saw her a few times, I never saw her, but it freaked him out!! I have worked in a haunted building, I saw a huge cook book move across a table and fall onto the floor, no one was anywhere near it. I also heard footsteps upstairs when the upstairs rooms were locked and NO ONE was up there. The freakiest thing was when I was emptying the dishwasher and I left the cutlery on the side to go to the bathroom, when I came back the knives were all lined up in size order. I was the only person there as I had locked the door myself and checked all the public areas to make sure there was no one there, it creeped me out!!

I haven't witnessed one, but definitely felt a "presence" as it were. And I've had some odd things happen after people close to me have passed away. Weird electrical stuff like lightbulbs burning out every day for a while, lights turning themselves on (the electrical is not the problem, I had it checked), things disappearing and reappearing and I was the only one in contact with them. After about a month, the oddities stopped and everything was normal again.
And my former boss had the exact same things happen to him after his father's death. Is that creepy or what?

Not in my home, it's never been lived in before and isn't built on an Indian burial ground or anything, but my brother lived in a haunted apartment. Anytime anyone would say that it wasn't really haunted (he was really proud of his haunted pad) the TV would flip on and run through all the channels and then filp off. His ghost would also open doors and move drinks across the table.

When my grandmother died in 1983, she always told my Mom she'd reach out somehow. My mother placed her "In Memorian" card on the window above the kitchen sink. A few days after my Grandmother's death the card fell to the floor (about 5 feet) and landed right by my mother's foot.

Not in my house, but in my grandmothers. The week after my Grandpa died, I was staying with my grandma to keep her company. I was watching tv and sitting in my grandpas old chair, which had a vibrating back massager on it. The massager turned on all by itself, and it wasn't plugged in. It was creepy. There are also parts of her house that are really really cold. Just in the middle of the room.

No, and the house I live in is an old funeral home. Why not? Because there's no such thing as ghosts!
