MG: A decent question, thank you.
I have learned that there is no limit to the amount of abuse and harm people are willing to inflict on others. That was something I did not believe before. I thought all people were basically good. This has sent me examining if I have been too trusting of others and too naive about the intentions of others. In turn, that makes me question if I really can love my neighbor.
I have enjoyed reading some of the replies though and appreciate those people who give honest thoughts in a kind way and do not put down what everyone else believes.
No and No.

Nope, I am happy where I am. I am Anglican/Protestant... I attend the United Church. I would say I am more spiritual than religious, my church accepts me, the people are all kind.
Why would I change?
My church does not ask people to convert, we have a Jewish family who attends from time to time who are happy being Jewish and we are happy to have them, if we go door to door it's because it's Christmas basket time...
Nice and Peaceful
I would not convert because I am happy falling into the Christian category. I believe in God and reincarnation. I believe that every soul on earth is here to learn something, and that is why for some life is hard, you will never learn anything useful if life is fed to you on a silver spoon. I believe that everything happens for a reason - yes even death and war no matter how terrible. I believe that the bible is *based* on real events, and is not a history book. I believe that in the end, no matter what religion you choose to be, we are all connected spiritually and we will all return to home/heaven by any name you choose to call it. Maybe in my next life I will come back as Jewish or Pagan. I do not believe that God has a hand in everything that happens, there is nothing he will do to stop us when we willingly choose our own path and forget about him because we all have to learn for ourselves. However he will be there to help if we truly ask him and do things to show we mean it.
I believe in angels and fairies and spirits and the universal good of all. I believe that every situation has a positive side, and if you can find the positive in things you will lead a better life.
I would not convert, because I find peace in my beliefs. I might find that I am not always 'happy' with the situation I am in, I might not like only being able to afford minimum payments, and getting paid peanuts for something I could do for myself and get paid properly. I am here on Earth to help people. I do so every day with my job, and with my job I am contributing to the greatest good of all. I do not believe that it is a coincidence that my clients are usually well suited for me, and I very rarely get people I do not want to massage.
I know that this answer is long winded but I have more to say.
I don't mind people who choose not to believe in god, the ones that I know don't walk around saying "prove he exists, prove this, prove that". True peace on earth will be achieved when people stop caring what someone else believes in and accepts god as our "Father' or being a figment of someone Else's imagination graciously and with out contempt.
I hope this was read, and I hope that if you give me a thumbs down you send me an email to tell me what you don't agree with... This is an opinion question, and my opinion has no elements of offense to it :)

It has confirmed by beliefs of the total unwillingness of some to open their mind up to other beliefs, and actually learn about all belief systems so they will be informed, even of their own. I had already studied theology heavily before I came here, so I do not see that happening. I help people when I can though.

Only thing YA has ever shown me is that I was wrong about atheists. I had always thought they were tolerant, just didn't believe themselves, which was fine. Now I realize than many, especially in this section, are downright hatemongers, just as bad as the KKK or skin heads. Who'd a guessed?
But change my beliefs? No way.

My core beliefs, a resounding no.
There are times I read a response and think that they did a good job explaining their opinion.
If anything, my resolve to be more tolerant. It's tough. People writing hurtful things for the sake of being mean to one group.

Nothing here can make me consider changing my beliefs. I take everyone's questions and answers seriously enough to not be rude when answering, and I accept that other people have different views on various subjects, but I don't try to convert anyone to Buddhism, nor do I expect anyone to try to convert me away from Buddhism.

Oh Gloria dear, rotflmbo...you have done it again...and you have got all the trolls in an uproar again.
No, nothing anyone on Yahoo Answers says (or anywhere for that matter) will separate me from the love of God or my faith in my Savior and God. Nothing anyone says or will say or do can ever separate me from God.
I am comfortable and certain enough in my Faith to listen to everyone's thoughts and not be swayed even a fraction from what I believe. I have no need to prove my God to anyone, He is more than capable of doing that Himself and does not need an old Kansas lady to do it for Him.
I love to see them sweat.

I am not too proud to admit that I don't know everything. I always evaluate new facts and my opinion has changed in light of new factual information.
I will also consider other people's opinions and philosophies. I have found some great insights on here.

Nope, it may alter some of the ways that I think about things and may help to clarify some thoughts, but the basics will remain the same.
