I am positing that the Bodhisattva ideal is more practical than the Arhat ideal. I need some rebuttals to this point.
Thank you in advance,

What if Christians got along with Atheists got along with Agnostics got along with Homosexuals who want to get married and who got along with Evolutionists and Creationists and Muslims and Shia and Sunni and Jew and Hindu and Budhists and Taoists and Wiccans and Pagans and yellow belly sneeches?

I propose a summit to iron out all differences and bring about peace, it could be the blue print for peace throughout Earth.

Of course, everyone will tell me why this won't work.

Could anyone give me a reason why it would?

I was barely sitting down when I heard a voice from
the other stall saying: "Hi, how are you?"

I'm not the type to start a conversation in the men's
restroom but I don't know what got into me, so I answered,
somewhat embarrassed,
"Doin' just fine!"

And the other guy says: "So what are you up to?"

What kind of question is that? At that point, I'm
thinking this is too bizarre so I say: "Uhhh, I'm like you, just traveling!"

At this point I am just trying to get out as fast as I can when I hear another question.

"Can I come over?"

Ok, this question is just too weird for me but I figured I could
just be polite and end the conversation. I tell him, "No........I'm a little busy right now!!!"

Then I hear the guy say nervously...

"Listen, I'll have to call you back. There's an idiot in the other
stall who keeps answering all my questions!!!"

He stated that Evolution was not incompatible with religion. Why is it that his views have not trickle down to the ignorant rabble rousers "believers".

I have too much to say about this crazy neighbor we have, I can write all day. The main thing that pisses me off though, is she makes false complaints to the manager. This past week she tells the manager that we're always drinking, smoking and having parties. I'm 19, my wife's 19, and my son is 2 years old. We talked to the manager and said we don't drink, we're too young to even buy alcohol, we hardly have anybody over, and I smoke on the patio which is on the other side of the apt from where the lady's patio is. She came up to see our apt. and realized it was perfect :) so she basically told the lady I don't see anything wrong.
Is there anything I can do about this person?

I'd call it the "You've Been Punked Testament", and it would be about Big Bang Theory, String Theory, Evolution Theory, The Silly Dark Ages. I'd reveal to the world that the old and former new testaments were fake, and that the era of science is here and staying.

My cousin said that most of the people in this world are pretty nasty people to gays (I think he's waiting to come out) & I told him that there are more people like me in the world than there are homophobs. I know alot of people & none of them are homophobic. From what you see (except the yahoo idiots) are most people kind & open minded or am I in the minority? That just wouldn't say much if most people were close minded idiots & I'm really hoping he's wrong.

don't just tell me to read the bible. Be specific about your message. I'm honest, I'll tell if what you said has made it for me - either to accept your God or whether I heard some truths from your sermon. It can be short or lons as you want it, I will read it.

I mean it has a huge statue of Jesus and many believers, shouldn't God want this to be a good place to live. I mean the worst part of town seems to be the region known as the "City of God." You think someone who loves praise so much would just be in love with Rio.

I read in the Book of Revelation that the Rupture will happen when Jesus comes, and the Earh will be turned inside out like a kernel of popcorn, and all the righteous souls (or at least the ones who believe in Jesus) will be lifted up, and all will gather in the sky, along with a hundred and forty-four thousand angels blowing trumpets. But I also understand that more info has recently come out. Question: What will happen next?

I dont know but I always have Deja Vu. But this is the weirdest thou...I happen to be super scare when I am driving or riding next to a truck or bus on the highway...so I happen to have a good friend who is into supernatural powers and stuff, and she told me that it is part of Deja Vu, but in this case my Deja Vu is of what I am most scare of now is the reason I got killed in my past life. I didn't believe at first but then I did some research and came up with interesting factors...and it is 95% accurate that a Deja Vu like this is likely true. So if it is true then in my past life I was killed by a truck or bus.

Have you have this before? or now?

I think most Catholics and nonCatholic Christians would agree that you cannot earn salvation by "works" or rituals - it is something given by God
but then I have understood that we must continue to "work out" our salvation all through life - I guess this "working out" is different from works but I dont know how or what that exactly that means

for a Biblical reference:
"Therefore, my beloved, as you have always obeyed, not as in my presence only, but now much more in my absence, work out your own salvation with fear and trembling." Phil. 2:12

For it is by grace you have been saved, through faith—and this not from yourselves, it is the gift of God— not by works, so that no one can boast. Ephesians 2:8-9

Along the lines of my recent question asking how Christians feel about all the different denominations, I now ask you about homosexuality. Many said that if they teach Jesus, then they are okay with the denomination. Does that hold if the denomination supports homosexuality? How can you reconcile one denomination that says gay is okay with another that says God considers it a sin?
