if they are preaching at you.. then you must need God...
if they are teaching you then you would be settled in your spirit with God.
big difference between preaching and teaching.
Get with a group that is learning the Bible. You didn't say your age, but get with the age group you are in and you will be surprised at what you will learn.
Get in a church that is NOT preaching, but teaching the Word of God.
God bless you

Many claim to know Jesus Christ. They know He is the Son of God and He rose from the grave on the third day. They Know He died for their sins and transgressions. These people can quote the bible and tell you about the many wonderful things that God has done for them. I will tell you something else.
It isn't just enough to know Jesus in your head. It is about letting Jesus into your heart. It is trusting in the One who is more than capable of providing your every need. It is knowing AND believing that you can have a relationship with the Creator and that He will love you regardless of your past.
I have a feeling you have tried many things to find peace and happiness in your life. Jesus is the missing peace to the puzzle that is your life. He will not force himself on you or make you do something against your will. He will welcome you into His family, love you like a son, teach you things you only thought you knew, and gladly give you the desires of your heart.
All He asks in return is that you commune with Him everyday. Talk to Him and read the bible to better understand what it is He wants to say to you. Proverbs 3:5 says that we should "Trust in the Lord with all your heart. Lean not on your own understanding." As you develop a real relationship with your Heavenly Father, you will learn to trust Him. The more you trust Him, the more He will trust AND bless you. It is a win-win situation.
I could continue on this way for a long time but I know that you are a smart person. You know what I am saying is the truth. The decision is ultimately yours.
Hope this helps.

First of all....He isn't our God! He is God of every past and present soul. He lords over all things inanimate and alive. He is your creator.
Why should you trust Him? He has a love for you that you could never imagine. You and I do not have the mental capabilities to construct an image of His essence never mind finding a vessel to hold His love in.
I cannot tell you why you should trust God. I don't think anyone can: to be truthful. I can tell you that it is faith first then intellectual reasoning. There is no fear in Love, so there is no reason to think you've misplaced your trust in God. He is not love as many would say. He created love and many say that is what He is. He isn't. He is God almighty. He holds love to such a degree that (as I've said earlier) we can't imagine the power of His love. Furthermore you and I cannot picture God as He really is, we can feel His responses, His presence, His life all about us,but a picture eludes us like a Holy Ghost.
To trust this kind of love is a well placed trust that will never be betrayed. It is faith, this trust is faith in an entity so powerful that the mere whisper of His voice gliding across your heart would send you into states of mind that will last forever.
After this then you go to His word and then you find why He loves you,why you should trust Him. Until then faith is the only answer I have for you.

With all of that reading, I will not argue with you as to why you should trust God. You must be convinced of your own sinful nature first, and the need for salvation. You don't want me to tell you to read the Bible, fine, where else are you going to find his law?
And your use of the word "accept" is a term that really bothers me. You do not authorize the Almighty into your heart. This is not a game of see-if-someone-can-convert-me. He rules the universe as He wishes, to the point of predestination of his own that HE has elected from before the foundations of the world. He does not compete with any other gods for your attention.

Hello Moloi,
The reason you should trust God is because he can and will deliver us from darkness, shelter us when we are homeless and sleeping on the streets, feed us when we are hungry, I mean somehow he manage to get food to us, he can remove the hurt and pain that we have suffered if we ask him, he can earse stains of our pass if we ask him.
I would love to tell you read the bible and you will find all your answer- although that my be true, if you think about it everyone that has come to our lord and savior was not reading the bible- they just got to a point in there life where they had know where esle to turn except to God.
Once you get to the point where you don't have enough money to meet your needs our pay your bills, our enough food to feed your family, our their is sickness and disease taking over your body our you maybe just plain old lonely- if you just call out to him he will see you thru, he will pour out a blessing to you even when he knows you don't deseve it.
God loves us even when we don't love ourself, he wants nothing more then for all of us to be saved and blessed, and must importantly even if you neve accept God he is still going to love you.
However; if you really want the blessing of God on your life accept him as your lord and savior and watch things begin to really more in your life like you never though it could. God will take an individual who everyone thinks of as nothing and exhalt him or her on high, he will take you higher then you've every been before. Just try God.
God Bless you!

For God so loves the (people) of the world, that He sent His (only begotton) Son, that whosoever believing on Him should not perish (in eternal death), but have eternal life with Him.
God created every thing.
He makes the rules.
God sent Jesus to explain the rules more perfectly to us.
Jesus said, "I am the way, the truth, and the life, no man cometh unto the Father except through Me".
Me must accept Jesus as our Savior.
We must turn away from our sins and do what God has told us to do (and not to do).
We can not do this alone, but must seek God to do it for us.

To be short,
1) Nobody's perfect, everybody is a sinner.
2) A sinner can't go to Heaven, because God hates sin, but not sinners, thus all of us, so to go to Heaven (s)he must be forgiven first
Nobody, not even a preacher or pastor can forgive your sin, except God himself, Jesus Christ, no matter how many times you make sins because He loves us, He is not a stupid God, who creates anything and then destroy it. He doesn't want to destroy anyone, but rather save them.
The only way to be saved is to accept Jesus Christ, pray to Him, acknowledge that (s)he is a sinner, repent.
You can't be saved by doing good deeds.
When you really accept Him as your savior, He will be your God, friend, He will be with you all the time, ANYTIME you pray, He will listen to you and you will find peace, comfort, peace. It will be your best decision you make in your life.

First issue to face is the question of sin. Are you a sinner? I know I am. The Bible says that we all are. Secondly, God is perfect and just. He will not accept the breaking of His law. However, He has sent someone to pay the penalty for your sinfulness. Because Jesus died on the cross, God sees His children as if they had not sinned. That status of being viewed as forgiven is offered to you as a gift.
What do you want to do with that gift? Many have rejected it and are bound for eternal hell. Many have claimed it and God is preparing a place in heaven forever for them.
Email me if you want to continue this discussion.

I am just going to say that this is a great opportunity for you because it shows you are spiritually hungry. A great opportunity for both of us. I am not going to try and force feed you Jesus all bran flakes. I will only say that Jesus said ...if any man hears me knocking at his door, I will come in. That a toned down version.
Please keep seeking. Let me know if I can help.
May Jesus keep you until then
