Wether a person is homosexual or not, they are still one of God's beloved children. The behavior is not ok, but there is nothing another Christian can do to stop someone else's behavior. I would rather see people hearing the word of God and seeking Him, no matter what their sin is, than being abandoned to the ways of the world.

I dont mind so much that there are denominations that believe it is ok to be gay, but when that's all they talk about, then the gospel is lost and the whole salvation message gets washed away. I do believe gays can get to heaven just as easily as anyone else can but, there is a lot of people saying "Gays go to Heaven" as if being gay itself is salvation. Jesus is Salvation, no matter how you cut it. If a Church goes on about any other topic than Jesus, then they are not teaching salvation. If someone is gay and they dont believe it's a sin, fine, I can understand why they feel like that, but they cannot overlook the fact that they DO still have sin and need a Savior. The focus cannot be on anyones sexuality.

The thing is, denominations SHOULDN'T be okay with homosexuality, it is wrong in the eyes of the Lord
Leviticus 18:22
Leviticus 20:13
Romans 1:27
I Corinthians 6:9
I know that this is a very touchy issue nowadays, but I have my beliefs, which many of you might not believe in, but if a church is ignoring the very Word they teach, then they are blaspheming

These denominations are perverting God's word so that they can build their congregations, hence more money in the pot.
Rom 1:25Who changed the truth of God into a lie, and worshipped and served the creature more than the Creator, who is blessed for ever. Amen.
Rom 1:26For this cause God gave them up unto vile affections: for even their women did change the natural use into that which is against nature:
Rom 1:27And likewise also the men, leaving the natural use of the woman, burned in their lust one toward another; men with men working that which is unseemly, and receiving in themselves that recompence of their error which was meet

Your question is one of the main reasons I decided to follow a spiritual path several years ago, rather than a religious one.
I believe God loves us all, certainly regardless of our sexuality. I also believe no one has the right to judge and/or condemn someone if they are homosexual. Personally, even if I chose to adhere to a particular denomination, I would not align myself with a denomination that teaches against homosexuality.
As a heterosexual woman who doesn't really understand the full dynamics of homosexuality, the bottom line for me is that God not only loves us all, but asks that we love one another as He has loved us. To me, that leaves us no room to denounce homosexuality.

A denomination that teaches that Jesus is The Way and homosexuality is alright is a hypocritical denomination.
I believe what you may be misunderstanding is, Jesus is The Way AND we are to LOVE THE homosexual SINNER and HATE the SIN.
See the difference?

God destroyed Sodom and Gommorah for the homosexual activity and other perversity but we are instructed to Love the sinner, hate the sin. Homosexuality is an abomination of the Lord. But, that is the act, not the individual who is homosexual.
I personally believe that any denomination that "ostracizes" any individual for any reason, is not following god's teachings. We are to love one another.

Homosexuality is a sin, just like murder, coveting your neighbor's belongings, and worshiping something before God. The difference is this: if you repent, you are forgiven. Homosexuals that know their lifestyle is a sin, yet continue to live that way without repentance, cannot be forgiven. You must confess your sins and repent of them in order to receive God's forgiveness.

i doesnt matter what peoples"opinions "are...what does the WOrd od GOD say bout it...it is an abomination to God....He cannot deny HIMSELF, and churches who accept homo., are accepting sin and not trying to help the person who hasnt recognized it as sin.....therefor....it is almost like saying to a murderer.."you like to kill, thats ok w/ me, do what you wanna do, its your life, live it how ya want", churches are to accept people where they are,but they need to help them get sin out of their life at the same time. Churches that accept this, either A) do not truly know JESUS as their personal Savior..and are preaching a different jesus other than the JESUS from the Bible or B) do not believe GOD's WORD to BE TRUE and HOLY, and they are rejecting what GOD has clearly stated about this paricular sin....try goin to the book of Romans if you wanna some of what God has said on this issue:)
and as for those who claim that God "loves" everybody,,ther are many verses in the Bible stating that God hates certain people who do things that go contrary to what HIS WORD states....just some food for thought

How many Christians support the denominations that turn their heads on the adulterer in the midst of them, yet they cast the homosexual out the door?
What does scripture say about all sin?
There are only 12 passages in the entire Bible that talks of sexual immorality, i.e. men laying with man. Four of those mention the women. But, all through the Bible we read about the adulterer. Seems like most walk on the fence when it comes to the real reason the cities were destroyed. Most only see the sin that others commit. ALL SEXUAL IMMORALITY was the fall for the cities to be destroyed.
How many heterosexual couples have performed sodomy?
How many heterosexual couples have had a three-some or more?
How many of these couples attend a church of some kind weekly?
How many of these people had premarital sex?
How many of these people have had multiply partners through out there lives?
Point is, homosexual acts are equal to the heterosexual act of adultery, sodomy, and more than the one couple.
Sin is sin in the Father's eyes!
Many heterosexual Christians love to point the sin of their neighbor out and hide their own sin; like Adam and Eve did in the Garden of Eden. All will be revealed one day!! Nothing is hidden from God, NOTHING.
Before any one says it is the abomination: here is abomination from the Bible~~~~
"Abomination in the Biblical sense of the word refers to:
Every shepherd was "an abomination" unto the Egyptians (Genesis 46:34). This aversion to shepherds, such as the Hebrews, arose probably from the fact that Upper and Lower Egypt had formerly been held in oppressive subjection by the Hyksos (a tribe of nomad shepherds), who had only recently been expelled, and partly also perhaps from this other fact that the people of Egypt detested the nomadic habits of these wandering shepherds.
Pharaoh was so moved by the fourth plague, that while he refused the demand of Moses, he offered a compromise, granting to the Israelites permission to hold their festival and offer their sacrifices in Egypt. This permission could not be accepted, because Moses said they would have to sacrifice "the abomination of the Egyptians" (Exodus 8:26); i.e., the cow or ox, which all the Egyptians held as sacred, and which they regarded it as sacrilegious to kill.
In Daniel's prophecies in Daniel 11:31, it is generally interpreted as referring to the fearful calamities that were to fall on the Jews in the time of Antiochus IV Epiphanes, says, "And they shall place the abomination that maketh desolate."
In his campaign of Hellenization, Antiochus caused an altar to be erected on the altar of burnt-offering of the Second Temple, on which sacrifices were offered to Jupiter Olympus. (Comp. 1 Maccabees 1:57). Following the wording of Daniel 9:27, this was the abomination of desolation of Jerusalem. In Matthew 24:15, the reference is probably to the image-crowned standards which the Romans set up at the east gate of the temple (A.D. 70), and to which they paid idolatrous honours. "Almost the entire religion of the Roman camp consisted in worshipping the ensign, swearing by the ensign, and in preferring the ensign before all other gods." These ensigns were an "abomination" to the Jews, the "abomination of desolation."
This word is also used symbolically of sin in general (Isaiah 66:3); also an idol (Isaiah 44:19); of adultery (Ezekiel 22:11).
Proverbs 6:16 - 18 lists six things which are also abominations: "haughty eyes, a lying tongue, hands that shed innocent blood, a heart that devises wicked schemes, feet that are swift in running to mischief."
The word "abomination" is also used in Jewish (and Christian Old Testament) scriptures to refer to homosexual activity (Leviticus 18:22), Leviticus 20:13), idolatry (Deuteronomy 7:25, Deuteronomy 13), cross-dressing (Deuteronomy 22:5), cheating in the market by using rigged weights (Deuteronomy 25:13-19, Proverbs 11:1), and dishonesty (Proverbs 12:22).
it is also used for eating seafood that lacks fins and scales (Levitius 11:11), eating certain birds of prey (Leviticus 11:12) and all insects (Leviticus 11:23 and 11:41) and other biblically unclean animals (Leviticus 20:25), remarrying the person one previously divorced (Deutoronomy 24:4), telling lies (Proverbs 12:22), being proud in heart (Proverbs 16:5) or justifying the wicked (Proverbs 17:15), cheating in business (Proverbs 20:10 and Proverbs 20:23)."
So, make sure you are NOT sinning at ALL when you judge your brethren/sister.
