I mean it has a huge statue of Jesus and many believers, shouldn't God want this to be a good place to live. I mean the worst part of town seems to be the region known as the "City of God." You think someone who loves praise so much would just be in love with Rio.

"Rio is a violent city, not because people are religious"

I just want to say I'm not saying Rio is bad BECAUSE people there are religious, I'm asking why is it bad DESPITE the fact they are religious.

Europe has low crime, but they have more atheists than anybody.

Rio is a violent city, not because people are religious, but because many of the things that make people believe in religion also make them criminals. (IE: suffering, poverty, lack of great education, etc) Besides, if they truly lived like the primitive people in the bible, NO one would be a tourist there.

Most "christian" cities or countries are usually the most corrupt in the world. Those that have not been christianised or americanised are usually much better.
