Can't we have tolerance for heaven's sake! Why do some people have to degrade other religions? Do you feel your religion is superior when you do that? Even if you disagree then you can still be respectful, please stop all this hatred and lets have some tolerance. I have respect for Atheists and as well for all religions. Do you agree?

In the ancient times, there was a social class structure in Egypt, India, Mesopotamia, Greece, etc. The highest class was usually a group of people whose profession was most important. In Egypt, it was the pharaohs because without them Upper and Lower Egypt may not be unified. In India, it was a priestly class (called the brahmins) because religious beliefs reflected their enitre lives.

In the last millennium, there have been social classes in some places too, like Medieval England. There was the king, his family, and his nobles, then manor owners who had earned land by defending the king, and then the peasants who work that land.

Does anyone know what was the first society to NOT have a rigid social class structure like this? When did this society arise? And do you see the division of social classes where you live today?

Do you never stop and think you are just blindly believing what has been drilled into your head. Think about it, pretty much everyone that believes in a religion is because there parents told them it was right. Most are so ridiculous nowadays that you would be called a nut if you believed in that kind of stuff actually happened (Adam & Eve, Noahs Ark, The Rapture). there are millions of religions out there, how can you be so narrow minded as to think that one specific one is just right. The odds of your religion being right are the odds of you winning the lottery...that sure sounds like a reason to live a brain-washed life to me!

Whether u are Pagan, Buddhist, Zen, Christian, Jewish,agnostic, whatever.......
Is there an experience that in some way shape or form that changed your life for the better because of a spiritual realization that perhaps came to u from nowhere. something that filled u with so much peace and maybe even a spiritual ecstasy
(u can write sex stuff but what I'm really wondering about is SPIRITUAL experiences that sometimes hard to put into words because it was so deep, and soul fulfilling

So Basicly i'm a non-believer of any Religion. I don't believe in a god/gods and all that other Fake stuff.

Anyway, what i'm asking is if the person was Qualified and you agreed with his/her views on issues, but they weren't religious (non-affliatied with any religious group..doesn't believe in god/gods) in any way...would you vote for them????

She is my next door neighbor. It seems she always has something smart and hurtful to say to me every time i am in view of her. Even though she is like this i still try to be nice to her and speak when i see her but she is just a very cold and hurtful person. She uses people to get what she wants , and doesnt seem to care about any one else's feelings. I've tried ignoring her but that doesnt do any good. She just keeps right on doing it.I live with my mom because she is old and doesnt have anyone else to help her. But this probem has been getting sooo bad that i've acually thought of moving into my own apartment to get away from this girl. And no i 've never been mean or nasty towards her. I dont know why she says these hurtful things to me all the time. When it comes right down to it she doesnt have any respect or regards for any one.She just seems to hate everybody.And she will stop at nothing to get what she wants. Can anyone suggest anything that might help.. thanks
