Blacks have made many contributions to the world. Not just the ones who are living in the USA. When I think of Africa and the land where they came from just think of the arts and music that were in their hearts and souls that they shared with all of us.
There are many people who are black who worked hard for others before they were educated and were able to have their own choice of career and were able to buy a home and raise their own families. When they were slaves to others they gave up their rights so the others could have the blessings. Now blacks can do the same as other ethnic groups with education and good working conditions in better jobs.
Recently on TV I was watching some important singer's funeral his name was "James Brown" . This man had a gift for entertaining all of us. I saw him in person back in the 50's when he was getting to be known for his dancing and singing. he contributed to our society in many ways helping others and just by his talents. He along with Bill Cosby who is so well spoken and intelligent with his gift for comedy and acting. This man has given from his heart so many can get a fresh start in life. Just these two men alone have given back to our society over and over again.
In all the sciences there are black men and women who are teachers all around the world...some are preachers..to spread the word of God. Here where I live some are on TV with anchor jobs giving the news to all of us. Some are high ranking officers in our military. There is a man who works for NASA...who is top in his field you might have seen him on TV. He is an expert in astronomy. I wish I could recall the names of these great people. But I know from hearing and seeing them on TV and reading about them in the news.
In closing, being a Caucasian female who doesn't see color just the heart of someone. We are all proud of our ethnicity...whatever we are we want to wave our flag for who and what we are we didn't have a choice how we came into this world.
No matter what our color we should be the best we can be and pat the other person on the back for what he is and what he has done....and be blind to their color of the skin. On the 15th of this month is Dr. Martin Luther King's day so we should all be thankful for him and all he stood for. He never gave up to make our country strong for everyone especially his own.

Well, then, how about this: A religious fervency that allows them to tolerate and forgive someone like you!

They set an example of how to persevere under extreme hardship, and to show courage where many would turn to cowardice, and to obsequiousness and resignation.
What have you, who are doubtless one of their denigraters, done to treat other humans in a fair and just manner, which is what contribution to society is all about? Damned little, if this question is any indication.

Hmm, how to educated a bigoted little ignorant boy who doesn't know ****.
Anyways, besides rap, if it weren't for people like Harriet Tubman, Booker T Washington, Frederick Douglas, and Sojourner Truth, I think blacks would still be picking cotton on a hot scorching plantain.Big ups to them, they paved the way for blacks to make life for them easier.
And if it weren't for Rosa, blacks would still be sitting on the back of the bus, instead of whereever we wanted.

Too numerous to mention all, but you have the traffic light, open heart surgery, the air conditioner, the hairbrush, hot curler/straightener, washing machine, the combustable engine for cars, and the list goes on....
blood transplant, shoestrings, the filiment for the light bulb...etc.
Actually, we would be in the dark, if it weren't for the contributions that Black inventors have made to our society.
