If God spoke to you and gave you an awnser from His mouth, you will surely die, the Holyness (without sin and pure) of His words are above what we as sinful man can handle, so thats why Christians recieve word from God through th Holy Spirit. He send His awnsers to us every time, but we are sometimes to ignorant to hear it from sourses we dont trust.

Aspasia:

I see you already know the banana argument, (http:thewayofthemaster.com)

You said God exists outside time and space: this does not disprove His existance but meerly shows He live in a Dimention that we can never reach with conventional means.
He created time, we are bound in time, He is not.... So for us there is a start and end. For God there is no such concept applicable, so God needs no begin or end, because He has no begining nor end.

Do you know everything in this Universe? Lets make it fair... lets say of all the things a singular human being in his/her lifetime can learn and understand and now, is half of everything there is to know (humans only know about 3% and only use about 23% of our minds at most) could All the Awnsers to those paradox related questions be there. Isnt God then in that other half.

Christians all believe without seeing proof, a blind faith if you will, I once did not believe, I based every thing in my life in Science and facts, but here is the thing, Since I've seen the Grace of God, his angels and a few deamons, I did not want to believe it at first, but the more facts and proof I went out looking for to disprove this the more facts I got to prove that He acctually is real.

Why do everyone on this planet pray to something, even isolated islands with no influence from the outside world has a god, its build in our very conscience.

There is countless testemonies of other ppl seeing God and to a gifted few hearing directly from him.

Ive seen ppl healed, situations turn around, my inner most private thoughts given an awnser to just from a small prayer.

Radio waves, Micro waves, sound, wind and Ultra-violet light exists but most of them We can only acknowlage with a singular sense (or none at all) at at time, We cant see it but there.

Fugitiveangel:

Going back in the Bible and tracking all the dates:
2007 years ago Christ was born
4400 years ago there was a great flood
7800 years ago Adam and Eve

Most great civilazations and their History (which at the time had little or no contact with eachother) Have a similar timeline.

Even the most advance carbondating on this planet cant find anything older then +- 6000 years. So why is that? I wonder

In the Bible we get the following facts:

The earth was round
pie was3.14 (rounded to 3)
The principle of anestetic for surgery
The perfect diet
The centre of the planet was molten lava
and The cure to almost all disseases (to name a few)

This is above and before we as humans figured it out. Even with the mathamatical formulas of chance this should be impossible to be all coincidence.

Did you know the lower rib, if removed will grow back?
Or that on average Women have more ribs than men do.

Why do our math revert back to a base number of 10, same as the ammount of fingers and toes we all have

The science God created to maintain a perfet balance in the universe was done with a few words, but yet it takes most of us our lifetime just to try and understand it, we have not added a single science to God's design, we mearly discoverd it ( Science: noun, the intellectual and practical activity encompassing the systematic study of behavior of the physical world by observation)

Come on ppl, give me proof!

I gave you a few examples.
Give me 1

Not theories or hypotaxis (paradox)
Theorie cant be proof, because its not proven yet.

Someone can do better than that, cant you?

I shouldn't even meddle in this question. I might contemplate God's non-existence when one of you human being create a mosquito...I'm not asking for galaxy, not even a planet full of life...just one mosquito- and you better start from scratch. You made a light-bulb, congrats! You know where you get the parts from? The gases inside? The elemental composite? Please, and then you dare question something far greater than yourselves when you cannot even comprehend far more simplistic matters. Talk to me.

Be my guest;) Monotheism is, in a way, a fairy tail invented for political reasons and to unify different tribes with different faiths (I'm talking about the period when Hebrews were captive in Babylon and the fisrt Books of the Bible were written down). History, archaeology, and Science are the keys to find all the answers and they've never proved ANY of the things Christians base their religion on;). On the contrary they offer undeniable evidences supporting US.

Sumerians gave the right version of the story nearly 6000 years ago(the Bible is not an original book, it's just a re-collection of ancient Sumerian stories re-adapted to suit monotheism) in the Enuma Elish as well as in the several tablets reporting Enki's words. No God ever existed my friend, just a very advanced civilization (made of many people obviously) did and came down to Earth 435.000 years ago;)

Bigots and believers (no matter what their Faith is) need to preach and claim loudly that their Faith is the absolute Truth, because their so-called evidences don't stand on their feet, so they need to be a 'crowd' in order to feel stronger and more self-confident;) WE , on the contrary, know what we know, and our knowledge is so deep and proved that there's no need to go around showing off and preaching;) WE are what WE are and know what WE know; it's an ancient knowledge, not to be disclosed unless to 'those who have ears to hear'. So, my friend, I wouldn't bother to open your eyes since you already decided to keep them shut;) Believe whatever you like, just BE a good human being, the rest doesn't matter. Peace.

Actually I can prove he doesn't exist. It's rather easy to do my friend. Your god is supposed to be all-loving, all-powerful, all-knowing, all-present no? Those are what is known as a contradiction of terms. You simply cannot have a being that has all of those traits.

Another way to disprove the almighty god is that omnipotence leads to paradoxes. Can god make a rock that is too heavy for him to carry? Can god build a wall that even he can't tear down?

Also, if god knows everything, he knows what he will do in the "future" (in any dimension, not necessary the time dimension). He must have known that from the very start of his own existence. Thus god's actions are predestined. God is tied by faith, he has no free will. If god has no free will god is not omnipotent. Another way to put it is that to be able to make plans and decisions one must act over time. If god stands above time he can not do that and has no free will. Indeed, if god stands above all dimensions god is dimensionless - a singularity, nothing, void!

Besides there can exist no free wills at all if god is almighty. If you had a free will, god wouldn't know what you would do tomorrow and wouldn't be omnipotent.

If everything must have been created, then god must have been created as well. If god is not created, then everything mustn't have a creator, so why should life or cosmos have one?

Besides this argument has another leap. If everything has a source and god is that source, then god must have existed without it before he created it. So if god created time and space, he must live outside of time and space. Thus he is non-existent.

And yes, please show us your proof of god. Let me guess it's a banana?

That's an awfully bold statement. Prove it.
I have a feeling I know your "proof". Religious semantics and blabeldy bloop is all you have and will ever have.

To say you know the truth is just plain silly and arrogant. There are so many holes in your retort that its silly to dignify it with a response. Name the verse in the bible that refers to pi, give me the verse that mentions the earth being round, (I guess Copernicus and Archimedes just plagiarized the bible huh) Don't just spit supercilious bullshit and expect us to swallow.

And the earths core is solid dumbf*ck. The outer core is molten. 3rd grade science class would have taught you that.

I can't, and neither can you... not really. And don't start throwing Bible quotes or any of the pseudo-scientific gobbledygook that's going around. That's not proof

*Edit* Where are you getting your medical knowledge? "Highlights" magazine? All humans have the same number of ribs, regardless of gender. And amputated or removed bones DO NOT and CANNOT grow back. What a crock. You'll have to do better.

you cant prove he does your full of !@$*
I'm not atheist but i do know that faith is what it takes to believe in god and that does not prove a thing!!! if you have had some great moment in your life or something that has nothing to do with proving a thing .
there is know way in hell you can prove this and if you could then the great question of life would be answered and there would be no point to life anymore!!!!!!

2007-01-11 18:56:30 · answer #6 · answered by elyse 2 · 4 0

I can't. If you can prove to me he does, i would be most grateful. I am more of a agnostic though, ad not a hardcore Atheist. I guess I have had some pretty bad experiences with religion that made me lose fait in there being a God. I don't believe in a personal God, because I have never been able to communicate with It. But i am interested in what you have to say.

The burden of proof is on the person making the claim. As someone who believes that God exists, you believe in the existence of one more thing than I do; therefore, it is up to you to prove its existence.

Well excuse me while I just don my High Priest of Baal outfit, and say you just go right ahead. You think you can prove it, you prove it to MY satisfaction and we'll talk. I can't prove that god doesn't exist, but I can say that the mass of evidence seems to speak against its existence (or at least its omnipotence), and until something shifts that balance, I have no cause to belive in it.

2007-01-11 18:58:20 · answer #9 · answered by mdfalco71 6 · 2 0

lets see, when people pray to god why doesn't god answer back? have you ever seen god, spoke to god? prove he does exist? if you can proove that then i will become a god believe in a second. but don't use something like a bible because a bible was written by some jokester that didn't think that today people would actually take his short story jokes soo seriously.
