Can't we have tolerance for heaven's sake! Why do some people have to degrade other religions? Do you feel your religion is superior when you do that? Even if you disagree then you can still be respectful, please stop all this hatred and lets have some tolerance. I have respect for Atheists and as well for all religions. Do you agree?

FUANNA: The Quran says "Let there be no compulsion in religion". Christians and Jews are called People of the Book and are considered to go to Heaven! And God knows best!

Affan !! brother this forum is been used for bashing each other more than for constructive things.........i wish i could see this place a nice and tolerant one for each other....But see !!! one bad representative of some religion potray it in such a way that peoples feel hatred for the whole community.........this is the reason i m feeling more distance from other religions after joining this forum..........But i m still hopeful that good peoples will find a way out for the betterment of all communities......because wht i feel is that everything is relative, the idea you get from here, effect one's original life too. and once you get negative than you are no worse than others..I wish we peoples could have tolerance for each other and intend to learn instead of bashing and insulting others. and i with you affan, i have respect for all the religions , and won't go for hard words provided they don't insult and abuse my religon , because its realy painful to answer someone at his/her level.
Hey ignore the haters !!
Peace be with you brother !!!

Well those people who flew those planes into those buildings had their religion.
Yes my religion is truth, and truth will prevail against evil. But it sounds like you want me to run up to them and tell them Hey yooo oooo I tolerate you and your religion come live in my country, and maybe the Jews will even tolerate them. Tolerate what? because it is a religion we must tolerate it. Only if it is with in the rule of Law should we tolerate religion and respect it, Let God do the rest.
In this case you made a good question,my answer is:
If any religion is with in the rule of law of the land, preaches no Hatred,Then they should be respected. Most would die to protect that right, even if they don't agree with the other guy. Some people think Like Americans, the Righteous Nation of the Gentiles.

because some things are unconscionable. No I can't agree there are some things that cannot be respected if ones cares to retain integrity and honor in the truest sense. Those who see have the obligation to help the blind and stupid not just feed the hungry and clothe the poor , other wise the blind will kill them first in the name of the imaginary god rather than following reason and good moral principles.people can gain dispassionate control and extricate themselves from the emotional fervor of god awful fanaticism. I have no religion by thoughtful and concerted choice . May be you should join your own thinking .

I agree, but because religion has become big business, other religions will try to discredit or outdo the other in order to build up their following because it is financially lucrative for them. And if it isn't for financial reasons, they do it to gain political power. Look at Iraq and Iran, where the political leadership is composed mostly of man of the clothe, the Imams and the Ayatollahs. In predominantly Catholic or Christian countries too, the priests, bishops, pastors and members of the clergy exercise a lot of political clout although it is not on blatant display. Many believe that the reason why Bush was re-elected was because of the efforts of the conservative Christian coalition.

Well all religions are based on the same people and beliefs i dont see why they get in so many fights. I dont have tolerance for any of them they are all degrading to society. And there is no such thing as a peaceful religion. Just a diluted one. But i do have respect for the people that are victims to the whole mess.

Go to it, my friend! Sometimes it seems like the whole world is being negative about everything. If there's one thing I've learned in life, its that what people are doing on their own free time is none of my business. As long as no innocents get hurt, you could worship dirt and I would still respect you. I've known people of many different religions and most of them have respected my beliefs. Let's hear it for tolerance!!!

Yes I agree. I guess something happens here. It's because it's pretty anonymous and people get a feeling that "i can say whatever I want"
I suffer from this sometimes, I forget about what really matters...to learn and to respect others. Maybe I should do it more often.
Good point!

Tolerance is the key word...unfortunately a lot of people know how to say it, spell it and even what it means..putting it into practice however is where the problem comes in. It is never a good idea to attack someones belief system.

Good idea.
No religions permit their followers to say or act against other people of any backgrounds. Hateful attitude is definitely irreligious.
Yes, we better learn to be loving and respectful to each other, especially in this age of human maturity, when all problems can be solved peacefully through friendly dialogues.
