www.buddhanet.net

This is an excellent resource, with a guided self-study course, and links to most of the important texts.

Please ignore the ignorance and prejudice of the first answer.

Well, abetterfate beat me to the answer I would give: buddhanet is a very good resource for people new to study.

I would like to apologies for Leanne(first answer) - she has been around Answers for a while, and is getting increasingly more unpleasant. Look up the Loving-Kindess mediation on buddhanet - it's an wonderful medition, and not just for Buddhists - but when you get there you will see why I have particularly directed you there.

Go well.
