when they haven't live what is beging real spiritual, why an atheist would answer all those questions to people who is lost...
Is like a blind leading the way to another blind.
Is so sad to see that in Yahoo answers.
IF you have a question that is religious or spiritual please , do a search on those who live what they believe .
But those who are atheist are just stopping people to get to the truth, easy for them to hear them When You lost in your own way you wanted keep it that way and rather to hear someone who is lost too.
When you do a question about GOD religion or spirituality ask who create this.
Is like asking question about computers to a shoe maker or food specialist, well this is not a question is just something to you think about .
Who are you asking what? if is about food ask a cheef ask a food expert, if is about money ask donald. Don't waste your time. trying to get wisdom here.
good luck

Many people say that God is omnibenevolent. Which is to say all-good. Whatever the best thing there is to do is, God is doing it.

The problem with this viewpoint is that it means that God has no choice. Whenever there are options, God MUST always take the most good one. If God ever failed to do this, it would be possible to exceed Him, something which most religious folks tell me is RIGHT OUT.

Without free will, God becomes an automaton. A force of nature. God cannot change His mind, because the decision about whether to do good or not is already made for Him - He ALWAYS will do it.

This leaves me between a rock and a hard place. If God is really omnibenevolent, then it makes Him seem more like an alien space robot (JHVH-1?) than an actual god. If God is not omnibenevolent, then how can we actually trust that He's going to carry through on the things He promised?

Any ideas?

I was at work and I started talking to a fellow Christian who works there. We had a really deep conversation about God. He said he was the same denom as me, and he gave me the address to his church. So I said, sure I'll visit you.
But I just looked up that church's website. Even though they say they're the same denom, some of their beliefs are contradictory to mine.
I'll probably go visit them once. But how can I tell him I don't feel like going back -- without getting into the details?

They always say "A men", which is mixing singular and plural, so it should really be either "A man" or "Many men".

Or is it some Zen way of trying to express the trinity?

Kind of like "3in1" all purpose oil.

i dont think any where in the bible does it say that you need a relationship with jesus or god to be a good person anyways.
i dont even think jesus would say its a relationship with the people that follow him around either your a christian or not. a relationship with god would fit more into being a spiritualist not a christian two different beliefs and ideas. so why claim it a relationship when you read a book or go to church then?

People pray to God for money, power and many other things I mostly want Dear God to let me die with the true religion, to reveal me the true religion, to open my eyes...I want to be close to God, but i don't know still of wot religion is truly true...Christianity and Islam are two religion that have most confidence in me,..O people can u pray to God to help me to bless me and those wishes of mine...I had miracles of my own in my childhood, i was a muslim then, i prayed to God for something and immediately my prayer was answered, I used to have those encounters at night where i couldn't move my muscle and couldn't do anything andi heared weird sound and i believe this because of encounter with demon, my Muslim cleric taught me a prayer to say when this happened, and amazingly this stopped. I was scared os storm and oneday i saw clouds with thunder outside, I said a prayer many times and it was written that when we say this prayer, the clouds will get into many pieces, and truly after sometimes it did happened, another day I was sick and couldn’t taste much of food, my Muslim cleric said prayers for my sickness and offer me some sweets and after eating it, I got my taste for food back..all these happened when I was Muslim, yet when I think of Christianity I feel kind and love in my heart which draws confusion in me, and there are others which also confused me…plz People truly pray to God the Almighty One for me…plz

Now there all confused

Silly monkeys, give them thumbs, they forge a blade and beat there brothers down.
How they servive so misguided is a mystery.

Angels on the sideline, baffaled and confused,
Father blessed them all with reason,
And this is what they chose.

Hello.

A simple wooden tablet was given to my husbands Father (now deceased) in the late 1940's by a Japanese Nisei Army Air Corps buddy . Husband has no idea what it is - but since I grew up in California with Japanese friends, I believe it may be a temporary household shrine/mortuary tablet. Is this correct? (in which case it belongs somewhere other than our bookcase, I'm sure)

If someone could be kind enough to translate the writing, maybe it will decide whether we need to track down a better home for it. Then again, it very well say nothing more than "the man I have given this to plays cards very badly" or, "Happy New Year 1953"

see photo here: http://www.brianmcculloughshow.biz/Japan.jpg

Any help is appreciated. Thank you (and Happy New Year 2007)
