A prophet is someone who predicts the future, or speaks the Word of God through revelation. That's not Bono.

Followers of Islam believe both Jesus Christ and Muhammed to be true prophets.
I don't think either Bono or Ghandi get a mention in the Koran, though.

I believe Bono would question your definition of "prophet" - I don't think that doing good works and being a great lyricist are enough to be considered a prophet.

Doing good work (and he has, like him or not) does not make him a prophet. I love U2...the group, but he is getting sooo boring. I can't honestly say that he has ever opened his mouth and I have thought 'Wow....that is just the sort of thing Gandhi would have said' !!
