Tool is a good band. Maynard James Keenen was actually the son of preacher. He grew up knowing the bible well, thing is, you chose to right down one of the songs where he speaks negative about it, but most of his songs involving God are for it, just in a more obscure way, Anema for example.
Songs dont bother me, neither do atheists, its all a persons oppinion. I actually love God, and love metal at the same time, how can I do that you ask? I dont take the lyrics literally. Plus it helps me to better know my enemy.

Other than the fact theres a great deal of truth in the essence of the song what are we supposed to think?
However, Angels are NOT confused- they are created above humans and have been given understanding so they don't have to go to school and read books
