By the city of Atl, I believe so. By some businesses. Not by the state. Obviously not by the feds.

Yes there is a strong Gay and Lesbian community. We have one of the stronger Gay Pride parades in the country. Midtown is a very popular Gay/Lesbian hang out.

If you're interested in Lesbian Bars, try My Sister's Room, or The Red Chair.

No unfortunately they are not. Although there is a VERY prominent gay/lesbian community within the metropolitan city of Atlanta, ATL is only one small part of Georgia. Georgia is a well known bible-thumping southern state and it's gonna take a miracle to open up the governors eyes on this topic. So for right now, you can take part in the great gay community activities in Atlanta (Girls in The Night, Traxx, etc..) and the Atl Pride is wonderful, but your parternershp will not be legally acknowldged.

The gay community is also very active in South Florida, but as you know, Florida's governor is a republican.
