Because, if anyone 'dares-to' question their religion, they then feel 'persecuted', as if merely explaining their religion is 'persecution',...mainly because they-themselves really haven't given their belief/s any serious thought.

Also, persons that have 'other'-thoughts regarding religion/s, will oftentimes cause them to feel 'persecuted' when they see that a person can have a perfectly-fine life without any 'need' for their belief-system/s.

This 'invalidates' their position about "No joy without god" etc. IMO

Christians aren’t persecuted in the US except for perhaps some isolated cases. However, they are persecuted in some other parts of the world. This may come as a surprise to some but the world is a lot more than just the US.

Good question. I've never figured that one out. I was raised Jewish and am now an atheist. That makes me a member of two groups that make up about 2-5 percent of American society. I'd love to be a member of an 85% group. It must be fun.

i know right it doesn't make any sense what so ever does it anyway i'm agnostic and atheists and agnostics and non religious people are the minority if anything we are more persecuted then the christians are

Hmmm....well we're generally not taken seriously and people think you can't be intellectual and a Christian. Don't believe me? Type Christian in the 'search for questions' box and see how much of it is derrogatory!

They get picked on a lot for telling people their beliefs are the only correct ones, and for telling those who don't believe as they do, they will burn in hell for eternity.

by taking prayer out of school, trying to get God out of the pledge of allegiance, Christ out of Christmas, trying to get "In God We Trust" off the currency, etc..., These are the things that our country is based and founded on. You athiest mock what you don't understand.
