There was this unintelligent kid in my class, he's white if you don't mind me mentioning it, and he said i'm "acting white" just because i speak properly most of the time. i love my different cultures, and i'm proud to be a Black American. This is not the first time some one said this...i try to explain thst he shouldn't be so ignorant, but it's no use. What the hell?! Why do people do this?

I'm new here, enjoying the liveliness of the discussions/answers.
I keep seeing references to Jesus as Savior.
What is it exactly that Christians say Jesus saves us from? Is it only relevant after death? (I don't have any concern about death--never have, think the idea of anything after death a bit silly, to be honest.)

Such as pulling the plug on the machine that's keeping someone alive because they requested it, abortion when you are raped, killing for self-defense, killing yourself when you are in a horrible situation (let's not go into details)?

Rappers have women(mostly black women) half naked dancing in their videos and then called them out of their names and everyone act like its all good. Its crazy and thats why these young kids doing understand how to treat women because of what they see and hear on TV & radio.

What if woman get raped by someone? You might say she can still give a child for adoption. But what if she doesn't even want to give it it a birth because it would be remembarance for her that she got raped. What' she should do? What's your opinion on THS situation?

Sometimes when a person comes to my house, I know they're here before they knock on the door. For example, I'll hear the car. Now the question is, should I go ahead and open the door before they even walk up to my house, or should I hide like I don't know they're there and wait until they knock to open the door?

This happens most often with my friend who comes by car to visit, and the package-delivering person.

I'm writing a story, and I'm having problems deciding on names for these characters! It's driving me mad! I've done tones of name generators, and have three baby name books, but it's still diffulcult. I decided I'd ask the general public for help.

Here are the people. I'll give what they look like, and some quick personality traits.

-This woman is twenty-two years old, and has brown, curly hair. She's charming, quiet, and a big worrier.

-This man is also twenty-two, has shaggy blonde hair, and blue eyes. He's easy to get along with, and a hard-worker type.

-This man has jet black hair, and is stuck up.

Please help! I know, who cares right? Just one suggestion is fine!
I'd also rather have unusual names, compared to commen ones!

I am starting to remember bits and pieces of my childhood and the "church" my mother forced me to attend.

the place was big into icons of a dead guy nailed to a stick, and
there was some bizarre ritual where i was told to eat this guy's flesh and drink his blood.

Ok, here's my ordeal. I am not totally out yet, but there is this guy that i'm interested in. We hang out about once a week because of a sports activity we both participate in. Well whenever he's around me he gives me these "signs" that would normally signal that someone is interested. You know, its the long looks, the playful "flirting" (which could simply just be in jest), when we've gone out with the rest of the group he always sits by me, and close. He tends to accidentally brush his arm or leg against me during dinner and such. I am sooo confused. I am not Out to anyone on our sports team and i'm pretty masculine so he def. doesn't know, but I have told him that I am Def. ok with gay people. haha. This is the kicker, he has a girlfriend and says he wants to go into the ministry. But all the signs say otherwise. He says he's cool with gay people as well so I need to know how to ask him if he's gay without offending him or putting him on the spot. Am I reading too much into this?
