I'm white and middle class and whenever white conservatives at my church hear I don't want kids they act angry and bitchy. Do they really care that much about my business and the fact that I don't want to deal with or pay for kids?

Procreation is something that is seen as required by many church going people so when an individual chooses not to take part in the activity, they see you as being selfish and against the "natural way" of things.
Also many conservatives fear what is happening in Europe, immigrant births are increasing while the "native" population continues to decrease. You can see this specially in places like Paris where some communities are completely Turkish and North African and thus Muslim.
Immigration issues of course exist in the states too but at least the Hispanic immigrants' religion is not an issue since most are Christian and thus not threaten the conservative values as much.
You have a made a choice that most conservatives feel is not yours to make. You rebel you!

I don't know why it would anger them. I am a conservative, I go to church and I don't care how many kids you want or don't want. The only thing along these lines that I would care about is that if you are going to have 10 kids you better be able to feed and clothe them. Other than that, it's no ones business. It almost sounds like you attend a mormon church. I don't mean that in a durogatory way but many mormons like to have many kids. Not all, just many. This entire answer is of course just my opinion.

Some people think they can tell others how to live. It should be no one's business that you do not want kids and they should not act angry or bitchy.

Conservatives are people who have traditional values, in other words, they don't want to make up there own values, so they use others. Back so many hundred years ago, it was the "thing" to have kids, and a lot of people still think that. And its not so mush that they care, they just think that if they are their values, that they should also be your's.

Its called "narrow-mindedness" and you don't have to be conservative to have it. Liberal non-church goers can be just as big of a pain in the butt about people not wanting kids. Its like some people just can't understand that something they naturally want, another person could not.

And you know what, hey- at least you were honest enough to admit that you don't want them. I feel sorry for kids who were born to parents who didn't want them and felt they were "supposed to" have them. What a bunch of hooey.

I'm a bit of a conservative and I attend church regularly and I don't mind a bit that you don't feel the need to have kids!

Because they expect everyone should be as miserable as they are. Same reason they have a problem with people with fulfilling sex lives. Christians are generally of the opinion that the best way to raise themselves is to drag everyone else down to the level of their gray, meaningless life.
