It was utter nonsense which threw out any significant historical facts and was completely made up by Dan Brown and by one other book of fiction which he used as a source. It was a work of fiction based on anti-Catholic/anti-Christian propaganda.

Some of the places mentioned are real places (i.e. there is a place called Paris, France) but all of the speculation and conspiracy theories are all made up fiction and a very inaccurate portrayal of the gnostic heresies.

Dan Brown is a novelist, not an historian. And this book highlights that distinction.

I think Tom Clancy said something to the effect of, "The difference between reality and fiction? Fiction has to make sense". Kinda funny I think, slightly true. But the Da Vinci Code is full of historical inaccuracies in both the minor and the major details. Although one may consider the book a good read, it is far from historical truth.

If you want to read the non-fiction book that it was based on it is called Holy Blood, Holy Grail. The History Channel runs a couple of shows about it too.

I couldn't care less one way or the other, but it is pretty hard to believe a Jewish Rabbi wasn't married at that time. It was considered immoral. So it doesn't seem a huge leap to me.

i assumed it replaced into an staggering e book. in certainty, it rather is definitely one of my favorites. however the action picture wasn't as good. confident, some aspects of it go against my own ideals. yet who cares? there is no harm in exposure to diverse outlooks (in spite of if the outlook is a fictional tale). And merely when you consider which you examine something does not immediately propose it rather is going to alter your ideals. exceedingly if that something is fiction! it rather is not actual, it rather is purely a made up tale with some information right here and there. it rather is fake. no longer actual. no longer genuine. So why in the international could desire to I be daft adequate to have faith any of what it says? It replaced right into a thought frightening e book and that i enjoyed it.

It is a fiction book. FICTION. Author even says that in the book. Made a lot of sense? It is a story.

For example, if Jesus was married, it would be in the Bible. Marriage is not a sin.

There are original drafts of the painting and "so called" Mary was named John.

I believe it's the largest load of crap ever thrown up on a movie screen.

The author of the book which the movie was made after said that the entire story was fiction, but people are STILL trying to make it a true story.

The writer, Dan Brown is very talented. But the work is purely fiction. He has stated this and you can find the book in the fiction section of your local book store.

That book and movie were completely fiction. They were never supposed to be truth. It was just supposed to be entertainment.

If you compare the store to the Bible, it was extremely inaccurate--too many inaccuracies to list here.
