I am starting to remember bits and pieces of my childhood and the "church" my mother forced me to attend.

the place was big into icons of a dead guy nailed to a stick, and
there was some bizarre ritual where i was told to eat this guy's flesh and drink his blood.

What's up with that??

Don't you know that "eat His flesh and drink His blood" is just a metaphor?

Repent and ask God for forgiveness. While you're at it, ask him to give you wisdom and understanding. Smile.
