Because she was made out of man's (Adams) rib? Wasn't the bible originally in Hebrew? People tell me "Wo"-man is called so, because she was made from man. How does this make sense? They weren't speaking even any Anglo-Saxon language back then. So, if anyone speaketh Hebrew, can someone tell me what the word for woman in Hebrew is?

Muchos gracias.

I'm just curious.

I know Chrisitans talk about being born again in the spirit being the only way to be alive spiritually.

Do they consider all of the other people in all of the other religions who believe they are quite spiritual to also be dead spiritually?

Or is it just some atheists who are dead spirtually?

It seems to me that you have to have some trying event in your life, some part of your history that plagues you and you had difficulty overcoming to be a hardcore Christian.

Is that always the case?

What about us "normal" people who have had no issues?

Can we ever become real Christians?

Has anyone been raised in a religious environment then turned on it later because you felt it turned on you? I spent my childhood in Christian schools and the church was a huge part of my life. I've always reflected fondly on my experience up until the one time I asked for help (long story but basically my parents split, I moved away and when I moved back and wanted to resume my membership, I was told I'd have to prove I wanted it. They accused me of only wanting the membership so I could get a discount on the Christian High School I wanted to go to, which wasn't true) the church turned me away. I've tried to get back into it but it's been much of the same thing and I've become very anti-organized religion. My faith is in tact and I pray regularly. I even had my kids baptized and tried to go back for them, but it was horrible! Has anyone had an experience like this? Did you ever go back or do you just worship on your own, like I do?

What book OTHER THAN your faith's holy writ would you recommend they read?*

Why?

*No Qura'n, no Bible, no Bhagavad Gita... Nothing considered sacred or revealed. Assume they have read them.

He should have known the trouble it would cause! Why couldn't God just never make all of those obviously ancient enormous bones--which could have NEVER coexisted with God's ultimate and special creation (MAN), knowing we would one day---VERY far into the future find them? Hah? So either God should have made us remain very dumb and uninquisitive--like we were for thousands and thousands of years, or he should have never made all the millions of dinosaurs, or he should have removed the bones from the earth before he just 'plopped' us here, animals and man, in their original form! What's wrong with God? Is this some sick joke?

I'm not picking sides here, but atheism really does mean the belief in no god(s). The majority of the religions in the world seem to have some sort of belief in a god or some divine force or power ( a 'god', lets leave it at that), however, I don't see many atheist striking out at anything other than a Christian, or its two sister religions at least. Is it simply because this(these) religion(s) have the most responsive tenants, so that such quarrels of any debate are even noticable?

Wow, thats a mouthful. hehe
