"Religious moderates are, in large part responsible for the religious conflict in our world, because their beliefs provide the context in which scriptural literalism and religious violence can never be adequately opposed."

On you tube they, RRS, has issued a challenge for people to post video denying the Holy Spiit and God and Jesus. This is exactly what the devil wants. How can we stop this? There are already over 9000 responces, don't they realize what they are doing? It deeply hurts to see people saying such things. Please, pray for these people.

Im having trouble understanding as to how mormans say belive the bible yet they read these verses and yet add a whole nother book ( the book of morman)
Revelations 22:18 I testify to everyone who hears the words of the prophecy of this book, if anyone adds to them, may God add to him the plagues which are written in this book.

22:19 If anyone takes away from the words of the book of this prophecy, may God take away his part from the tree of life, and out of the holy city, which are written in this book.

I don't have your questions deleted, so why do you do it to me? Can't handle someone having a different opinion than yourself?

Can any expert from India tell me because I am from that country. Actually India is a country which has been devoted to religion and spiritualism as well, from the past. As far as I am concerned I am more spiritual than religious. (I am into Yoga & Meditation).

I was asked to teach our sunday school lesson this Sunday and while I was studying - this is one of the questions that is asked. I was wondering what other people thought and how would they answer this question. . . .Why am I here, and what is my purpose? Also, when you answer this I would like to know if you are a christian or not - unless you rather not comment on it, than that is okay. . . . I was just wondering if you thought that God had a purpose for your life and do you know what it is or do you care to know what it is? I believe that God has a purpose and a plan for our lives if only we will seek Him for that particular thing, I believe that He will reveal this to us. I am a Southern Baptist christian woman, just in case you want to know.

I have a project in mind. The aim is to raise funds to provide milk for toddlers in a play school in Pune, India for a year (initially). This is becuase these kids are from very poor backgrounds, and the calcium in the milk along with the calories will go towards correcting their nutrient deficiencies and could reverse curable diseases like rickets. I am currently living in the UK and am looking to raise some funds, possibly with donations. To receive donations, do I have to register my project as a charity first? If so could anyone give me an idea of how to get started/who to contact. Many thanks for your help.

I am looking for a religion. I believe there is a god, just someone out there. But not everything I hear I believe. Like the whole Eve came from Adams rib, or whatever. Stuff like that. (And no, I have nothing to back that up, it just seems unrealistic. I just want something to believe in, to have a spiritual side. I believe people should live there life the way they themselves think is right and what is best for them. I want my kids to believe in something. I believe abortion that person’s choice, and that any person should be with any person they love, and should not be persecuted for it. I’ve heard so many things about Catholics that I don’t think is right, so they are defiantly out of the picture.

I know when someone sneezes the polite thing to say is "bless you", but what is the appropriate thing to say, if there is one, to someone who coughs?

Maybe it was Vlad the Impaler or Dracula. I can't remember if I read it or saw it in a movie, but I remember some details.

The prince and his nobles were gathered in a hall. He asked if they required anything of him. They asked if he would relieve them of their daily cares (i.e. the annoying everyday things that everyone has to deal with). He went outside, chained the doors shut and then burned down the hall (including the nobles). I think the moral was "Don't take advantage of your prince's generosity." Or maybe "Mind your place and remember who serves whom." Or maybe just "Be careful around that dang prince!"

i'm a white athiest girl, although i was brought up christian. my boyfriend is hindu. this is proving difficult for our relationship, as his parents are giving hims stres over the whole culture difference/mixed relationship thing, they say he shouldn't even be having a girlfriend at his age (17). however, we get on so well and really really like each other. but i'm not sure how much of a problem his parents are going to be.

he said they're not forbidding him, but they are disappoiinted and they are making it difficult. also, he seems to worry that i will cheat on him or something, and so he needs reasurrance because he said he doesn't want to upset his parents for a quick fling. but we both want something serious but he still seems to be unbelieving of that on my part. apparantly his mother has been saying stuff like 'she'll just dump you when she gets bored..or cheat on you..that's what all girls are like'. i'd never do that, but i don't think he believes me.

iv'e been in cahtolic schooling all my life until the past few months when i moved-i don't believe in God due to past experiences, science, logic etc. i tried very hard to believe but i havn't for about a year now.

i think he would be willing to marry, although that is far off. we were very good friends before we got together, he told me he liked me since the beginning of october but i wasn't sure if i liked him back and i also didn't want a boyfriend. howveer i am now 100% sure that i do, and that i want him. i knew going into this that he wanted something serious-he made this very clear to me. i do as well. i know he is crazy for me, the only thing is his parents...he said that indian boys are not even supposed to have girlfriends till like 2 years before marraige, but he likes me so much so he can't help it..

what shall i do? is there any way i can convince his parents? and convince him that i am serious about this relationship?

i am more than willing to convert to hinduism if this ever gets really serious, that's not a problem for me...just his parents and be being white. i really want to be with him and he really wants to be with me but they're making it so difficult...

Answer me this please, just starting off by something simple:

For example how does a pencil, book come into existence? By a creator yes?

Say the pencil is created in a factory, who created the factory?

Your answer might be an engineer.. Who created that engineer? Obviously there must be a creator

Similarly who created the sun, the moon, the stars etc? There has to be a creator for everything.

And that is God the almighty!!!

What are your thougts?
(Sensible replies thankyou)

At what point did this country become Explicitly Atheist.

Our country has push God out of our schools now high school kids are killing each other at will and we can't figure out why (some) of these teenagers are so messed up.

Katrina- This country is constantly telling God to get out of our government, Stay out of our schools and get out of our lives.

When this tragic event happens we blame him. All he did was what we asked. He stepped aside we can't sit here and want God's protection and blessings if we constantly demand that he leave us alone or that he doesn't exist.

I believe in God and Love him very much and I'm tired of being pushed around for it.
