Im having trouble understanding as to how mormans say belive the bible yet they read these verses and yet add a whole nother book ( the book of morman)
Revelations 22:18 I testify to everyone who hears the words of the prophecy of this book, if anyone adds to them, may God add to him the plagues which are written in this book.

22:19 If anyone takes away from the words of the book of this prophecy, may God take away his part from the tree of life, and out of the holy city, which are written in this book.

They have trouble with that themselves.

You DO realize that the books that comprise the Bible weren't in a list sent from Heaven, right?

The Catholics have a completely different book from the Protestants, and even many Protestants leave out the book of Esther because it's a myth with no historical fact.

The verse in Revelations does not refer to "The Bible" because at the time there was no "The Bible". The Gospels (Matthew, Mark, Luke, and John) weren't even written until after Revelations.

First do no longer anticipate to get him to alter his suggestions yet listed right here are some gooq inquiries to ask. a million.) Why have archologists no longer chanced on the continues to be of any horses relationship from approximately 10,000 BC - 1500's advert (he would attempt to assert he ment to jot down some thing else- in excusable if the golden plates have been realy supernatualy translated surly Moroni would have confirmed Joe Smith precisely what he meant so the entire Horse argument does not pop up. 2.) Why do first Ameircan countries- like Apachees and others lack Jewish DNA (which may be chanced on in the event that they have been decended from the Jews) 3.) There are no longer any contimperary acounts that would desire to show the nelphi and nephi even existed 4.) there's no evedince of an community American Semetic Language. 5.) Finaly ask why no outdoors student has seen the plates- an academic would desire to ensure the plates becuse it would have altered the view of precolmbian historic previous. edit- to all the Mormoms asserting "we are Christians" would you talk approximately a sect of Hindues who beleived Christ grew to become right into a manifestation of Sheba to be Christians or would you call them Hindues- who used the call Christ? Mormonism is polythiest- and that would desire to have been anathmea to a set of Jews who grew up all their life gaining information of there is one God. A Roman Pagan on the different hand does not have had that giant of an argument with the belief of three gods - they already worshiped 12 3 would have been easier to bear in suggestions and that they might settle for the Roman gods as different accended people who ruled different planets.

Those verses refer to the book of revelation, not the entire bible.

Some people say revelation is the newest book of the bible while others say it was written in 68 or 69 which means that Jude was written after Revelation yet it was still put in the Bible.

Christian scholars say that 2nd Peter was written between 70 - 150 AD which means it is quite possible that it was written after Revelation since John died before 100AD.

You take the Bible too seriously.

God is real, but you will have a hard time finding him by obsessive literal interpretations of the Bible, or any other holy work.

The Bible is a symbolic text and should be appreciated as such. Any religion can lead you to God if you follow the core message of "Love thy neighbor". Everything else is just window dressing.

there is the bible yes and there is the book the Mormons use they are both considered the bible all one book not 2. Yes i know you are thinking they are 2 different books and they are only by material as far as Mormons they are one book. as a Mormon we don't believe we have added to it by means of self righteous acts Mormons believe it was added to it because the lord instructed his prophets to do so.

The Mormons say that The Book of Mormon is a Testament of Jesus Christ in the New World. They believe that Jesus visited America and they documented his stay.

Is it possible the book of mormon is no different than all the other chapters not included in the bible by the council of nicea? Think about it.
