If a girl refers to you as youngman, what exactly does that say about what she thinks of you? Because it's just not something I hear that often. Not from someone my own age

If they are talking to other people about you.

Maybe she thinks you are younger than you are, that could be a compliment. If she doesn't know your age, I would say that she definetly thinks you are younger than you look. Or maybe she is trying to flirt with you (not very well). Either way I really wouldn't stress over it. I use that term often because 18-24 year old guys are always flirting with me, I am almost 34.

Does she use the possessive "my" before the "young man"? If so, this is an old-fashion way of describing at boyfriend/girlfrient relationship. If by chance she is an only child, especially one raised by older parents or grandparents, or raised in a very strick 'polite society' atmosphere, she may have picked up this term.
If not, if she is simply describing you, she might want to be stressing that you are, possibly, younger than you appear.
