I made a wish this year - not a resolution, but just a wish. I asked god if he could find me a wife.

The problem is, I'm unsure what a wife or a potential wife would want from me. I'm 45, a little overweight, a recovering alcoholic and have had lots of girlfriends in my life. I wanted to marry the last one, but I screwed it all up by drinking and cheating on her. I never want to go back there again.

I've never been married before, and find alot of women are looking for a second or third husband and think that there is something wrong with me.

I did start a multi-million dollar software company, which failed in 2003, but I'm trying again. (I started it in 1987 when i got sober the first time)

What do you think is wrong with this picture. Do you think I'd never find a wife? That's what I want most from life.

What can I do to make myself attractive enough so that some woman that I'm equally attracted to will marry me?

people don't understand that the best things in the world are free. A simple smile that would make someone's day. The great sun rising every morning, and setting every night. The friends and family that show you love. The beach, the waves, the small colorful shells that u find by the shore. The laughter, the happiness one can bring. A simple kiss from the one, the love two people share. the warmth of a hug, and the dim peaceful light from the moon above. the sound of rain when you go to sleep, and the little flowers by the side walk. Sometime we are so busy with out life, that we forget the simplest pleasures of life.

Everytime a catholic person calls the pope "Holy Father" they are calling him God! The name "Holy Father" is found only ONE time in the entire Bible and it refers to God the Father! They are calling the pope by God's name! It is extreme blasphemy to call a man by God's name. The following passage shows Jesus praying before He and His disciples went to the garden of Gethsemane: John 17:11 And now I am no more in the world, but these are in the world, and I come to thee. Holy Father, keep through thine own name those whom thou hast given me, that they may be one, as we are.Lord, please help people to see the truth!
The pope is even looked upon as the Holy Ghost--catholics are told that they need him to teach them what God says from the Bible. That's why they have all those encylical letters and supplementary books. Look at the catholic t.v. channel one day. They are always quoting from popes--so are "lay" catholics. Now all of a sudden, he is not only God the Father, but God John 2:27 But the anointing which ye have received of him abideth in you, and ye NEED NOT that any man teach you: but as the same anointing teacheth you of all things, and is truth, and is no lie, and even as it hath taught you, ye shall abide in him.

Inquisitions, crusades, witch trials and jihad appear particular to the above-mentioned mythologies. Unless one goes back to the Aztecs, I can't think of any other religions even remotely as violent. It appears that belief in vicious gods makes vicious people. And if the god is vicious, what is it you worship other than fear?
Oddly enough, Judaism appears to have found a decent interpretation of the Old Testament, despite the cruelty in it. Still, one out of three Abrahamic religions isn't enough for peace in the world. Until the other two are completely revamped, there will be war after war after war.
