My husband Snores loudly too, and I found out he had severe SLEEP APNEA, you should make him an appointment with the doctor and have him tested for that, it is very common. Some signs are...Does he fall asleep very quickly, like when you are talking to him, when he is sitting at the table etc. Watch him for awhile when he falls asleep and see if he stops breathing every so often, and then kind of chokes a little to get air. Is he Tired all the time? This is a very serious condition, if he has it. If he don't you could try the Breathe Right Strips. They seem to work for moderate snoring.
Good Luck! I would try to find out why he is snoring, and help him out, rather than make him sleep on the couch though, It's not his fault he is snoring and he has no control over it.

Would breath-right strips help? I think I've heard they can. I've heard there is a spray that is supposed to be safe, snore no more. You can also get a permanent type of a breath rite strip in a Dr. Leonard's catalog, so that you can wash it and not have to buy it all the time.
There are websites to with tips to help. Try webmd.
If he could consider losing a little weight, even alittle, just 10 pounds if he is alittle heavy, can sometimes do it.
I read something about sewing a tennis ball into the back of whatever the person is sleeping in! Cause when they roll over they will wake up and go back on their side again.
Guess that's it. Hope that helps! But if all else fails, separate sleeping isn't really a bad thing, certainly not the end of the marriage.
There are other times to get together, ya know? Like together in one bed, also to cuddle, whatever, and then go to sleep separately. Jump back in and make loveydovey in the Morning! Emmm, then coffee!

My husband snores very loudly as well, so I feel your pain! :-) Loud snoring can be a symptom of a medical condition. Ask your husband to talk to his doctor and make sure everything's ok medically first. If it is, then have him try those Breathe Right strips. There's also a spray called Snore Stop. I don't know whether it works or not, but it's worth a try. Good luck!

I have a snorer too, 35 yrs. If it is as bad as you say and you are worn out I would have him checked out by a doctor. It could be a serious problem for some who snore and it can be fixed medically. I fortunately can roll mine over. Seventy percent of the time he will stop snoring then. Check with your physician and good luck to you both. No, do not send him to the couch or yourself either

I think that you should rule out sleep apnea, which can be very serious. You should check with your Dr. and maybe do one of the sleep clinics.
My Dad, who is 80, had the same problem and turned out to be sleep apnea. He did some kind of therapy and now his snoring isn't as bad.
Might try those Breath Right things that go over the nose.

I know just how you feel, my husband is a snorer as well its so hard to not want to smack them right in the old kisser. We tried every thing to stop it but alas we failed. He got a sinus infection and that caused the problem, well it never stopped. I to tried the couch as well as waking him up countless times a night . When i couldn't take it any more i fixed up a bedroom for me so i could leave the room and get in a good comfortable bed and just SLEEP. I to had work every day and i was a walking zombie after awhile. It wasn't easy leaving my bed and my husband to sleep in another room and he definitely didn't like it but, i had to have some sleep. So i wish you luck on what ever you do its certainly not easy or fun.

u could go to the store
and buy some things to put on his nose
it looks like something u would use to clean black pores with
it will allow him to breath so he doesnt snore
or u could make an appoitment with your doctor
to see if he needs to have his tonsils taken out
i had mine and now i dont snore no more
but i am just 13 and still a kid
so i dont know if its the same with adults

I'm the loud snorer in our marriage, and my hubby and I sleep in separate rooms.
Since you said thats not an option for you, get him to try that strip that goes over the nose to open the airway.
If that doesn't help you can try one of the dozen or so tips at http://www.stopsnoringtips.com/tips.htm
