I believe you refer to Ephesians 6:16, not Gal.and of course you are referring to the armor we are to put on for spiritual warfare, said warfare is against satanic attacks that confront believeres everyday because satan hates God and His children, which we are, as redeemed by Jesus sacrifice on calvary.
Just as places where soldiers (for example, Romans)-held shields to fight off ther enemy's darts that were dipped in combustible materials and set afire, they served the purpose of small incendiary bombs. Satan has his fiery darts that cause us to question our salvation, our call, our worthiness,if we can really serve, if the project can really be done, to doubt, wonder, become discouraged, depressedd, defeated, burn with passion, desire etc.
Our shield of faith in God is to completely trust God. (remember, that is where satan most often attacks us when we feel God isn't paying attetion to our trials,etc.)-The Christian "soldiers" consciousness of God's presence is so great that God's presence itself becomes our shield and defender Genesis 15:1 and Ps. 33:20 says God is our help and our shield."
I especially love and claim this scripture: "Thou wilt keep him in perfect peace whose mind is stayed on Thee; because he trusteth in thee. Trust ye in the Lord for ever; for the Lord Jehovah is everlasting strength" Isiah 26:3-4 Faith cometh by hearing and hearing by the WORD of God, the Bible and without faith, God says it is impossible to please-Him. Vital armor, isn't it?

Our faith is our link to God's power. It's protection against the doubts, discouragements and impediments Satan will try to use to get us to stop living God's plan for us; to try to make us give up.

Start by wearing dress shields, diaphragms, and using condoms. Also, don't sneeze on the salad bar.
